4/8 Tournament
Hey guys, next week (4/8) we are holding a street fighter IV and Smash Brothers cross over. So $5 will get you into both tournaments, should be a lot of fun!
We’ll see you guys on Thursday the 8th! Tournament starts at 6!

Systems and Prizes
We will do Street Fighter IV on PS3 and of course Smash Bros on the Wii.
We were tossing around the idea of having a 10 dollars buy in so the prizes can be better since there will be 2 winners (one for each game)
What do you guys think? We can still do a 5 dollar buy in for both games, but the prizes will be smaller due to the pot size.
I think you should keep the buy-in small for now. Most of us are just coming out for the experience and a lot of us know each other at this point. When you do the opening weekend tournament for SSF4, $10-15 would not be unreasonable.

So next thursday (4/15) we were going to run Samurai Showdown Anthology. Buy in is 5 dollars.

Thanks Kage. I’m still no good in the Chun/Blanka matchup, but it was cool to see you guys.
I always look in the opposing character’s forum to see how they detail their strategies to fight my chosen character. The Chun forum does NOT have readily good info on how to play Blanka.
I personally think you have to get really aggressive on him, as Chun. Your pokes are better than his, especially if you can keep me right outside of your standing mp. Blanka’s focus game is garbage, so, you don’t even really have to worry about that. As soon as I get in, it’s gametime for me. I feel like I can cross up for free, neutral jump all I want, or walking elec pressure you. You can never fireball me, I’ll slide on reaction. I get free blanka ball until you have Ultra and if it breaks down to run away, I’ve got that covered better than Chun. That’s why I think you have to be on top of him pretty hard. If you can pressure and bait out a blocked ex Up ball, you get free Ultra.
