Definitely in for Waldorf and I’m definitely sending Madcatz an email later tonight. So glad my Xanadu matches and the Marlinpie match were caught onstream. And I can heartily say I endorse Mad Catz sticks.

Okay, rough costs for people (assuming I can change the reservation…will update later today): 2 nights @ $70 = $140. So I’d ask for about $20 per night from people, plus about $10 in gas. So $50 before tournament costs.

Just a thought…Maybe we can set up that DE vs MD showdown at the Waldorf tournament. Still gives us a while to level up and get some more tourney experience.

Cosmic, can you post where the info comes from? Did Grisley post it on FB? I still don’t have a lot of fighting game community peeps friended on mine yet.

Edit: I MAY have a way of dealing with Morrigan. Will want to test next time we meet up, if I can get someone to spam fireballs for me. I think Spencer might be able to stay in the air long enough to let the twin super wear off, while taking minimal chip damage. That would also work because Arm kills Doom Missiles pretty well.

I play with a pro tier cammy and almost beat a pro cammy, here’s some notes.

Cammys main damage comes from frame traps, once she is in jab range, she needs ti make her opponent guess if she is going to throw or attack, which may sound simple, but under the right conditions is a 50/50 chance for your opponent to eat a counter hit combo or an untechable knockdown.

But the main point is to put your opponent at +1 frame while close to them and take one* ONE step forward and either throw or use a fast startup medium/heavy attack, followed by a combo that WOULD work if that attack was a counterhit. A counterhit medium or heavy attack adds 3 frames of advantage (and extra damage/stun) on hit enabling unusually heavy damage combos for the price of some safe offense that forces your opponent to be afraid.

There is an option select to get out of frame traps, but that is a pro secret, you might see it in my Kahmos vs Marlinpie video.

Also, if you want a mindless tool to use with cammy, get close, get a knockdown, dive kick deep on wakeup, and throw often after you are blocked. If you expect a crouchtech, do an instant air ex.divekick and combo off of that.

The notation for the input is:

214 7+LK+MK

Do it in a crescent motion, and confirm you have left the ground and then press two kick buttons. Only works with ex version since 2012

Thanks for the info. I’m fairly comfortable with Cammy overall, but I have not really explored counter hit setups as every time I try one I just eat a random DP. I suppose that is what happens when you really only play online. I also need to drill her combos into my muscle memory again, it would appear that SFxTK is destroyed my execution. Man it’s so easy to do combos in that game.

yes DE is represented, but we need more… we get together every Friday at The Gravel Pit … Games we are into are Marvel, SFXT, Blazblue, and KoF 13. We have a couple people that play AE 2012 when they bring a setup and right now a couple of us are dipping into Skullgirls.
