Let’s get a big ass turnout for the side tournament!
Okay, side tourney at EVO for Skullgirls. We gotta figure out how to make this happen. I’ll help however I can for planning, but if I go to EVO I’ll likely be modding so I won’t be able to run things from there.
No skullgirls for EVO? fuck it. Skullgirls for MLG. Lets go
Yea I know. I just really thought they’d surprise me with all the SFxT debates going. This is why I don’t have hope, ever.
I don’t even like Skullgirls and I still think it’s bullshit it didn’t get a chance. Especially when MK9 got in last year

I wish I could support the side tournanment, but I don’t have the resources to go to EVO/I’m underage and would get lost lol :C
Best of luck to those organizing the Evo side tourney. We’ll probably even have new characters by then, so it’ll be fleshed out a little at least. Glad it’s in UFGT8 though. I’ll be looking out for SG and VSav especially, and maybe we’ll even see a MightyMar vs. Floe type of moment in SG (under different circumstances of course, but something on that level) for ultra excitement. Plus, awareness and hype.

Did anyone actually expect SkG to get in? New, completely unproven game with no guarantee that it’d have any sort of competitive scene or sell decently. They did the exact same thing with AH3 last year too. MK9 and SFxT, while both new at their respective years, at the very least had some guarantee that there’d be comp for at least a few months.
Why take a risk like that when there’s much safer options to go to?
im down to help organize the Skullgirls tournament as well.
^ The real reason is Capcom is paying that sponsor cash to see SFxT in there no matter what most likely and boost the sales of a game that otherwise the competitive scene wouldn’t normally touch. Now they will though because there’s big $$$ on the line.
Yeah, time to support the game and show the higher-ups it doesn’t need EVO to succeed. Don’t forget about UFGT8 ( http://ufgtus.wordpress.com/games ), if you can, be there.
Im so mad… They got the chance to support a fellow evo player with his project, knowing all the sweat, tears and blood he have been putting in his game, trying to fix all that`s wrong with modern games… but instead they pick another capcom game that wasn´t even made with tournament play in mind. Life isn´t fair.

First thing is to make a thread under the EVO subforum to check how many people are interested in ACTUALLY being in the tournament. From there you can ask some tournament organizers how you should go about actually getting everything done from there, from getting the entry fees, to setting up for the tournament itself. Then you gotta find a place to actually hold the tournament, and possibly get someone to stream it. There’s more to this I’m (99%) sure, but that’s a start.

Come to Final Round on March 2nd [Mar 2, 2012] FINAL ROUND XV apart of the Evolution 2k12 "PITSTOP" Road to EVO (Atlanta, GA)
Final Round will have skullgirls, and is the oldest running major in the USA (15 years), and is the biggest tournament on the east coast. ShinBlanka supported us by announcing skullgirls as a official game regardless of any evo garbage.

lol @ Skullgirls being weeaboo. You wouldn’t know weeaboo even if it shoved a dick down your throat.
It didn’t make it in. Deal with it. This will not kill the game.
Getting mad doesn’t help.
Blaming people doesn’t help.
Posting your frustrations doesn’t help.
Want to help? Remain positive. Support the game. Go to tournaments where they’ll have it. If there isn’t one, talk to TOs about it. If they won’t, do it yourself. Go to gatherings and take a setup.
you think MK9 is a safe option? nobody but 5 people play that game. you would have a better chance with a new title since, because its new, people will buy it with hopes that maybe they can make it at EVO because they have just as good a chance as anybody since DURH the game ain’t out yet.
Oh well. I’m not that affected by it. As darabidduckie said, just support it. I remain optimistic that it will get the recognition it deserves someday.
