Cool. Let’s all talk about SG tendancies.
My own two cents on the whole alignments thing:
Filia: I agree with neutral good here. She seems pretty average herself. Samson, though, he seems to be on the evil end.
Cerebella seems more of a neutral type to me, who dips into the neutral evil category when she’s told to. Since she doesn’t actually commit heinous acts because she wants to, but she’s ordered to and wants to look good in her adopted dad’s eyes. She’s enforcing the rules her “family” makes.
Peacock is definitely chaotic evil. That’s pretty much par for the course for psycho characters. Sure she hates the Skullgirl’s guts, but she also hates everyone else’s guts and kills people for a laugh.
Ms. Fortune: Chaotic good. She’s a thief, but her likes/dislikes and her attitude seem to paint her as more of a Robin Hood type of thief. 'Sides, she wants to avenge her friends and end the mafia.
Painwheel’s a funny case since yeah, mind control. She seems like she could be either a neutral or chaotic evil sort to me, though she’s hard to pin down. (No pun intended?) She might flip flop between different sides but I have no idea tbh.
Parasoul: Lawful good. She’s pretty much the most staunchly heroic of the cast.
Valentine: Obviously evil. She might be lawful since she worked for ASG before she switched sides and they’re all about the means to an end, but we haven’t seen what she actually does in story, so… yeah.
Seeing all the “um, ah, well” I just did I think I’ll save my next character alignment guess for when I’ve actually played the game. .- .
Valentine could get them back to life
Also speaking of Valentine, her cardiogram super was better in the other FNF, but maybe it’s cause she did it on the corner so the camera didn’t move so much, but that’s just me.
By the way I love her lvl3 =]
Can’t wait to see the remaining 2.
I still think Panzer’s going to be quite the erudite.
Or something we won’t anticipate at all.

PW - ?
We won’t expect them to play him straight and make him a real tough guy (from what I’m reading here).
Tough guy is expected. We don’t want him to be stupid musclehead.
Can he be a tough guy and smart at the same time?
If Panzerfaust turns out to be Nazi Hard Gay, I will pay for him twice!
I just now noticed the “Leader” above Lifebars indicating who has the life advantage  How did I manage to miss this until now :S
Also, this “jumps” before damage is actually dealt (see the end, it states Parasoul as “leader” right after her Bodyguard grabbed Valentine, when the latter still got the life advantage).
I guess this also mean that a connected special will still deal damage if timer runs out while it is still in the animation part? I knew this was the case for supers, but it is actually this way for every single ability?
Not at all. Bike grab does a small amount of damage on the grab part (you can see the life come off), which puts Parasoul in the lead. The slam then finishes her.
We let everything still deal damage after the timer runs out, but that doesn’t affect the outcome - the round is decided immediately at time up.
I’m not sure how you missed the Leader thing either, especially considering it was suggested by SRK. :^)
Do characters have different amounts of health? Instapause - This looks like Valentine has about twice the HP of Parasoul?! (Or is that just my eyes :S )
Nope. Probably a rendering bug, P2 gets half a pixel more of health or something due to the half-pixel offset you have to use on consoles. I’ll look on Monday.
Hmm, kind of reminds me of how I felt when I finished INfamous 2. The ending just ruined the fun time I was having with that game. I just hope the ending in Skull Girls does not bore into my chest, rip out my heartstrings, takes a canister of salt, pours all of it in my open wound, and rubs it in hard.
woo page 87! Fave number.
You know what would be unexpected.
If Samson was just a good guy who looked evil XD.
Wait so every character in SkullGirls has the same amount of health ?
Yeah, they do.
Yeah, it’s kind of like in Gears how you have Retro Lancer, Lancer,Gnasher, Hammerburst, and Sawed-off Shotgun. Everyone in the game (Gears) has the same amount of health (600 hp), it’s just that the weapons have unique properties that make them effective and deadly. Skullgirls’ balance is kind of like that. Each character has the same HP but each one comes with a different set of tools that make them really effective and able to hold their own.
I hope it does that to everyone of us. I like this type of ending.
Also I am happy to see people discussing the plot. It means the characters and the story have grown beyond the gameplay mechanics. Sucks to those who think that plots have nothing to do in a fighting game.
For now Filia is like the guy from Planescape: Torment only with good tendencies. I am curious to see her personality growth, since she is a tabula rasa for now. While we don’t: let’s have fun speculating. Maybe Samson is just the concentrated evil of pre-amnesia Filia.
I am also curious to see the source of Valentine’s powers. Every other character has a named power source (Samson, Vice-Versa, Argus and Avery, Krieg and the Egrets, the Life Gem, Buer Drive+GaeBolga+Experimental Skullgirl Blood…). Or it was training from hell plus a little power from the actual Skullgirl?
As for the Skullheart, there is no such thing as a “pure” or “100% selfless wish”.
Correct, I think refusing a wish is the only sure-fire way not to get scammed by it.
