I swear corrupted zones are the most annoying side quests in this game. I ran into one full of large machines that can burrow underground. How am I suppose to fight that shit?
That area has a non corrupted Behemoth nearby. I let them fight first and picked off the weakened Rockbreakers from outside of their travel range with Sniper Bow charge triple nock shots. Once you destroy all 4 legs, they can’t burrow anymore, so they’re much easier pickings.
Thanks for the help guys. I managed to beat the corrupted rock breakers by overriding two snapmaws and a ravager nearby and stayed close to shore line so they couldn’t get me. Those three killed one and left the other at a quarter life for me to clean up.
overriding will get you through the game, even at the hardest difficulties. I’ve literally skipped boss battles with it. if you feel so inclined you can look up my name on YouTube and see the boss battle i avoided with overriding
I rely on overriding help me with the more difficult machines. Fighting tramplers, behemoths and rock breakers without overriding something is always a pain in the ass.
So I completed all bandit camps, cauldrons, tallnecks, danger zones and Hunter lounge side quests. I actually did a main quest and got a power cell so I can get the shield weaver. At level 49 now and I’m just getting the Maker’s end quest done. After that I’ll revisit some past locations and towns I missed to see if there are any side quests I missed.
Now I’m at Max level, obtained all the skills and got all the collectables. Shield weaver and the main story is all that’s left for me to do.
Speaking of the story, it hasn’t engaged me since the proving and that’s starting to slowly change. It sounds like some Nier type shit when down with the end of the old civilization.
I am not going to leave a side quest undone. I already put in the work to get the shield weaver and I will get it. I put in a lot of work being op and that armor will seal the deal.
WTF is a no-bows run? If it’s what I’m thinking, you might as well just trade the game in. No point in all that frustration just to squeeze an extra bit of fun out.
I mean, there’s a lot of weapons that aren’t the bows in this game. Heck, with the Slings and Rattler you almost don’t need anything else. Freeze then Rattler is crazy strong vs almost anything.
I completed the game and the platinum trophy to go with it. It was cool to see most of the side quest charcters come back for the finale. The final boss was a huge disappointment
Spoiler
A more heavily equipped Deathbringer? Fucking really? I would think the final boss would be a machine that haven’t been introduced at that point or even the ‘metal devils’ the story occasionally brings up like that huge ass machine you see in one of the ruins you go to. I see Sylens is still fucking up.
