I’ve been playing on PS4 vanilla and the visuals are amazing. First time I’ve ever been interested in moving to 4k.
Is the bow/arrow your main weapon for most of the game?
Are there any close distance melee weapons or hand to hand combos?
The bow is the main weapon, but you have a spear for melee combat. No hand to hand stuff other than stealth kills on human enemies, AFAIK.
The world is huge and the game overall is beautiful and the story at the moment has me invested. Having tons of fun so far. In this age of remasters, reboots and sequels it’s nice to see a new IP that’s a blast to play. I just hope it sells well so it gets the recognition it deserves

That moment when you get snuck up on by a Stormbird and then 5 minutes into the fight when you have it down to 10% you get ambushed by a Sawtooth…
…then when you think you have things under control a Thunderjaw appears out of thin air and fucks you in the ass.
Not surprising though considering that some of the same people worked on both games.

Yesterday I encountered my first Tallneck.
I’ve played Shadow of the Colossus with its huge enemies along with Xenoblade’s, but none of them were fucking machines.
Somebody (or something) actually BUILT these things. Jesus…
Is it good? This is one of the few Next Gen games I actually want to play.
