One thing you should know about the EX2. The microswitches on the buttons are poorly made and become faulty very easily. Two other people I know (including myself) who bought it ended up with one or two non-responsive buttons, and the Virtua Fighter 5 boards are filled with people with the same complaint.
It’s true. I’ve know peeps whose sticks have died as well. Don’t know if its the microswitches of or the PCB. Need to conduct further tests.
Modding ftw.
Can anyone or does anyone know someone who can mod these? I’d really like to pimp one out for my daughter for when the times comes for her to take up SF.
Since you have time it’s more recommended that you just a custom/premade. So much easier/less hassle. Also there is a thread though on how to mod this thing.
Yeah, I have an arcade-in-a-box for me, and I’ve seen the thread mods but I just don’t have the time or patience to do that. Hoping to find someone to do it for my lazy ass. I don’t really care the cost.
good stuff man. i was actually about to ask for a review by an actual owner. thanks for the tip.
ok, one last question, hope this thread is still alive. is it worth modding this stick or should i just go out and buy a custom?
Sure dude. Modding a stick is almost always cheaper than buying a custom. It just depends on whether you feel like putting in the effort yourself or spending money instead.
do this and the hori fighting stick 3 use Hori sticks or sanwa?? for the price i think hori ones but i dunno…
Hori sticks.
ah i see, i just opened this stick and wow, i think ill mod the FS3 instead, im a noob so i dont want my stick to die :looney:
