i got 4736 madcatz microcon, is this pcb can be used for dualmod my v3-sa? (i dont know is this pcb common ground or not)
bit late, but may i ask where you did find one? i’ve been looking all over for it for so long and can only manage to find ridiculously overpriced ones for sale. i’m after the xbox one too, which has made things even harder. sad thing is, i only really want it for the red shell, not the art, but at the same time i’m actually considering paying $350 for it…
i know, i know… $350~ but i NEED it
haha.
The Trading Outlet forum is your best friend! That’s where I found mine & I got lucky because it was in mint condition. Also still had separate stickers in its original bag (I have no use for them so it’s still in that bag in the retail box). Yeah, let’s just say I didn’t pay anything remotely close to $350 & I wanted it for the red case too (I could care less about the artwork although it looks pretty cool). But yeah, checkout the trading outlet forum consistently & you’ll find what you’ll need eventually (including the Qanba Q3 Empire edition & TE roud 2 w/MK panel I’ve got for sale currently!).
I have a Real Arcade Pro VX SA and im looking for some art work options for my arcade stick anyone know where i can get some?
Thanks for reading

I’m assuming you have to cut/drill the stick body beneath the panel in order to get the stickless layout to fit as the cut out for the joystick on the RHS doesn’t extend as far out as on the LHS and the thumb button looks as though it will be outside of the cut out zone.?
Anyone done a stickless mod that has a picture on the underside?
Cheers
Not at all.
Any of my stock panels will fit without modification to the case. I will get a picture of the bottom side so you can see the buttons in the panel and how they fit.

Thanks, I was hoping you would reply blklightning
I was thinking about this last night and had forgotten that the standard hitbox style stickless layout uses 24mm buttons which probably helps a little bit with the space. A pic on the underside would still be good though if you can find one
I’m thinking about getting a Pro V3 to mod as I haven’t got much time at the moment to constuct my custom stickless. I have pretty much all the parts stting in a box waiting for some attention
Does the hitbox layout work well on this stick? anyone done a conversion that can offer some feedback?
I’ve got 30mm Happ/IL buttons for the action buttons for my custom design as I had 6 spare so thought I’d use them. Undoubtably these will be too big and too deep to use in a RAP mod so will have to get some 24mm semitsu’s if i decide to go this route.
Cheers
edit: Nvm, figured it out.

I’ve been searching this thread for hours and still haven’t found:
I need to know which wire on the ribbon connector from the Home/Turbo ribbon cable is Ground on a VX-SA (Xbox 360 version). The PCB is different from the V3-SA one that has been posted several times in this thread. There is also a picture of an Xbox 360 version which shows where Home/Turbo are on the PCB, but not ground.
Wondering where Ground is on the right-hand side of this image:

Got it. Ground is #15 on the right hand side. AKA, the red wire on the 15 pin ribbon.

Any luck with that photo blklightning?
will try to get the pic up for you soon.
I have the chance to pick up a VX SA for a fair price. I dont have much interest in modding. Is there any reason to pay more for a madcatz or is it good enough?

Anyone out there know the specific connector that is used for connecting the joystick to the pcb. It looks like a typical 5 pin PCB header connector but what type (I don’t have the stick yet it is due to be delivered next week).
I am however about to order the parts to do a stickless conversion and would rather not have to unsolder the board an hard wire as I may find i want to put the stick back in if I can’t get on with the stick less design. I’m in the UK so can probably pick the connector up from Maplin (UK equivalent of Radio Shack).
I know blklightning21 sells stickless wriring harnesses for the VX but it starts to become a bit expensive to order all the parts from the US what with postage and then Customs duties.
Oh and for the last question is there a specic tool for crimping the connectors used for connecting the wires to this type of connector.
As ever any help appreciated

JST PH Series Connector.
The Header (HRAP PCB side) is B5B-PH-K-S.
The Housing (Joystick connecting to HRAP PCB side) is PHR-5.
The Contacts (to crimp wires for the Housing) is SPH-002T-P0.5S being.
Then all you need is $200-400 Crimper Tool.

Well that’s a pain in the ass, thanks for the info JDM
I’m guessing that crimping the contacts without the tool doesn’t work very well so any helpful suggestions on the best way to do the stick less mod in a way that is easily reversible would be great.
Thanks again!

Since you do not want to buy from blklightning21.
Someone else also sells a conversion that connects to the original harness.
I do not remember where to get it.
Or you do your own in the way of rtdzign.

Stick wires into the connector.
Crimp on Quick Disconnects.
You can do elaborate like rtdzign also.
