Hori Real Arcade Pro FAQ for all versions

The site says:
-HRAP New Version for arcade fans, HORISTORE.COM exclusive
-Arcade perfect button layout
-Favorably-received Top Panel Design (Same as SA/SE)
-Hi-end stick for professional

…And, try the thread below. I wrote about HRAP2 a bit.
http://www.shoryuken.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98650
-HRAP2 has JLF-TP-8Y-SK and, Hori-buttons with quick disconnects.
-HRAP2 has Mount plate ready for Seimitsu joystick.

(By the way, maybe SK=Shafuto Kabaa=Shaft Cover. :D)

if you have not done it already screw in buttons are the only way to go!

so thats the new one? i dont like the button layout, if i orderd it i would take the mirror top from my hrap and put it on that stick to get the original button layout. i like the straight across not that down to the right buissness.

hey, do you guys know where to get the “wind spirit” converter for ps2 to usb? I’ve looked everywhere and cant find it.

Why does the SA use the OBSF-30RG which has the longer microswitches vs the OBSF-30? And what is the general preference here with the snap-in vs the screw-in? To both of the questions: Why one over the other?

And do Sanwa come with different color button rings like the Seimitsu buttons on the SE?

TheRealNeoGeo, do you have access to all of the above or should I just choose colors from the OBSF-30?

edit: search is my friend= http://www.shoryuken.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98245&highlight=snap+screw

sounds like snap-in is ideal for the hrap’s but it’s not the majority. guess it depends on what colors are available for each…

I’d still like to know about why the SA uses the longer microswitches and should I…and that if you, TheRealNeoGeo, have access to Sanwa’s with different colored button “rings”? Hope it’s not too late . We’re about to order aint we!

The Sanwa RGs have bigger microswitch thus giving it longer lastingtime (and a little different feel when playing). Snap or screw, doesnt matter but there are a little more colors available in snap-ins:

Sanwa does NOT come with different color on buttonring but you can swap for excample a red buttons ring and a white buttons button (did I say that right?) and you have a red ring with white button.
I have access to all colors that sanwa makes.
Also, you are not to late, I will order all week so no problem.

Do you have Sanwa buttons and sticks? I would also buy some. Do you know what shipping would cost from Sweden to Germany?

I checked out your website www.arkadesticks.com
WoW, that Kazuya command stick is of the hook :wow:
Where did you get the ball top. It looks so stylish

greetz

Switch Blade
I can get you sanwa joysticks and buttons et.c but it shipps from Japan, not Sweden. What you need (send email to: answer@arkadesticks.com)?

Ah, ok.
So this means, you can get them all the time. Because I wanted to purchase some from Himura Amusements, but they don’t have them temporarely. I’m looking for the cheapest way to import good sanwa sticks and buttons.

I’ll send you a email

It’s been great to finally own and use an HRAP; this stick definitely delivers on performance; at least offline that’s for sure.
But since I’m also looking to use the HRAP for online gaming (on titles such as CVS2 and KOF2K3 on Xbox LIVE); I’m still struggling with finding the right PS2->XBOX Adapter.
I’ve read these threads thoroughly, and have seen how most people recommend either the MagicBox or the DragonBox.
I myself already happen to own a MagicBox, which does indeed function perfectly fine offline, but online it seems to generate response delay and doesn’t strike me as the best option.
So what of the most recommended adapter the DragonBox? Does anyone happen to own it? If so how is it in comparison for Xbox LIVE? Could you post pictures of it? (I have no idea what that adapter looks like). And could anyone tell me where I can find & purchase it?
Anyway, this is a question for those of you who own an HRAP and also use it to play on Xbox LIVE; I’d like to hear some feedback and suggestions on this matter. Thanks to all in advance who can help!

uh…if the connection from the HRAP -> converter -> Xbox is lagless offline, then shouldn’t it be lagless online also, since being connected to a network shouldnt affect that link at all?

Are you sure the lag you’re feeling isnt just the usual network lag you get from like, being connected to the internet and all (ie Xbox -> (lag) -> server)? :stuck_out_tongue:

Any updates on the HRAP2 and SC3 HRAP? Because I’ll update the first post with any new confirmed info on them.

Is there anywhere online that is selling HRAP to the US currently? Play-asia has had it backordered for a while, and I can’t find anywhere else reliable.

Hellmonkey
I think I can get them fromHoristore in Japan, they still sell it. What the total cost would be, I don`t know.

I’d think that it would be too much to have it shipped to sweden and then to the USA, although if it’s under 100 dollars total I’d do it in a heartbeat (i have a feeling it’d be more)

It i shipped directly from Japan, but the shipping cost is high from Japan.

Quick question about the HRAP 2. Can the start and select buttons be swapped out for Sanwa OBSF-24? I really don’t like the yellow buttons that it comes with.

HRAP 2 is confirmed to have a Sanwa joystick (same as HRAP 1, I assume) and Hori buttons (NOT Sanwas).

Not sure about this, but I’ll let you guys know when I get my Sanwa buttons in the mail.

First post is updated with new HRAP2 and SC3 RAP info.

Got the HRAP2 info from Hori’s official page too.

Can’t confirm if it has qds until someone opens it up, but it’s safe to assume that it has them.

If the package weighs under 2kg you can send it as SAL (surface air lift i belive) which was very cheap and simple… If you just ask the clerks to send a package they hook you up with regular parcel which is more expensive though. SAL is the way to go.
