Hori Real Arcade Pro FAQ for all versions

^ can you mount a LS-32 on the new Hrap3’s???If so I’ll be getting one.

even if you can’t, you can put in an LS-56

God that new HRAP1 looks so nice. D:

Ya, it does but I prefer the HRAP2 layout. It just feels a bit nicer than the HRAP1 layout

That makes one of us, I hate the HRAP2 layout.

How about the Competition stick, or should I just put new microswitches into the fake HAPP stick I have?About the buttons, I have troubles playing Mortal Kombat rev 3, because the too sensitive buttons miss when hit hard, sorry, but I am used to push them hard…But I have spent more than 250 euros now, trying new sticks and buttons…I know this is not the HAPP thread, but where can I find a good Competition or Perfect 360 stick then, maybe not in EU?

What exactly is your “fake Competition stick” Is it a new, made in china, Happ Competition? The best thing you can do is probably buy an IL Eurojoystick. Happ originally bought them from IL in kit form and assembled them in the US. Now, Happ makes their own Eurojoystick clones in China that suck. As for the Sanwa buttons, many people do not like them as they are very sensitive. Seimitsu buttons are less sensitive and have a springier feeling. Get the screw-in Seimitsus as the snapin ones suck imo.

www.lizardlick.com is located in the US but may actually be cheaper than in-EU stores due to the dollar being shit right now.

http://www.starcab.net/product_info.php?cPath=219_151&products_id=584 This is the fake one, its diagonals totally suck, my neighbour is an electrician and he connected it to the stock Sanwa PCB in order to fit it into the HRAP3, and did some case modification. The main problem is that the guys from US want $ 70 cost of delivery to Bulgaria (WTF):hitit: The other think can be the T-stick- http://www.arcadeshop.de/product_info.php?products_id=370&language=en , or this- http://www.arcadeshop.de/Joysticks-Eurostyle-Joystick-red_306.html , or even this, can you give me any info about them, as I got no idea where to ask in the forum…If any of them feels like the old Competition sticks, or could be put into the HRAP3 (we had to use heavy machinery and cut metal to fit the fake Competition stick inside:tup: ) And I truly thank you for your expertise:rock: How about any of these microswiches for the fake Competition stick? http://www.arcadeshop.de/index.php?cPath=73_96

That’s not a fake competition stick, it’s an actual Eurojoystick. The original IL made+assembled Eurojoysticks are not as good as the ones that Happ bought in kit form from IL and assembled themselves. About a year ago, Happ stopped buying from IL and starting making their own competitions knockoffs in China and they suck even worse than the old Eurojoystick. As for getting a stick you will like in your HRAP, please post pictures of the interior. You may be able to put in a Sanwa JLW with a battop and circular gate as JLW mounting plates are closer to american ones than other Japanese joysticks. Stay away from the T-stick. It’s not good for fighters. Here is a review of it with a video. Here is a review of an Ultimarc J-stick which is just a rebranded Sanwa JLW. The one reviewed does not have the circular restricter attached though.

Sorry, I misunderstood, but some members of the forum suggested that the stick was a knockoff, that is why I called it a fake.I bought a Sanwa JLW-UM with a bat top and a GT-0 round guide plate. It was difficult moving it from France to Bulgaria, and I don`t know where did I put it home…Since this is the only option that I have left, I will search for it in the next two days.If not-bye bye championships…

If the HRAP 3 were to have the PS Home/turbo buttons in a different place, and a top like the HRAP 2:SA, I would have never sold mine. The HRAP 2:SA is nothing short of phenominal. Where as the HRAP 3 top is on par with Whitney Houston’s crack dealer. /shrug

I would so rep you for that quote lmao, but I can’t because of my post count.

Is it just bare metal under the HRAP3 overlay?

Yup, so If you want you could actually spray paint it and clear coat it. It would probably look a lot nicer than putting art on it.

my main concern with paint has always been wear. surely uneven wear would occur where your palms rest. no?

Is there any way to make the HAPP PERFECT 360 work into the HRAP 3?The casing is already modified, but how do I connect it to the cables, or shall I use the stock SANWA PCB, or I must buy some add-ons or tools?I played the stock Sanwa and LS-32 for a year, and I am far from impressed…I contacted SUZO and they said they can deliver the stick for 45 euros, and the HAPP Super or Competition for 15 euros each+ 25 euros for delivery…

I’m new to the arcade stick scene and have only recently learned how to use one. I tell you though, I’m hooked now.

I was wanting know if any knew of a place that still sold Real Arcade Pro sticks or the now rare Virtua Stick High Grade? Play-Asia and Renchi have been out of stock for these two sticks for quite sometime.

Unfortunately, I can’t go to japan and amazon.jp won’t shop sticks outside of Japan, so I’m between a rock and a hard place. Do I just have to stick with getting a Hori Fighting Stick 3?

HRAP3 is going back in stock at NCSX this week. Play-Asia should get more stock this week too.

www.akihabarashop.jp is taking preorders on the amazon.jp exclusive HRAP3. You also get 10% off any arcade parts you order with the stick if you want to mod it (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you swap out the knockoff buttons for authentic Sanwa snapins. The HRAP line comes stock with a Sanwa JLF and crappy Hori buttons). The stick will ship sometime in June so you will have to wait about a month. The store also has a thread in the SRK Tech Talk forum.

Yeah, NSCX is solid, for the few of you who might be new to them.

Went ahead and ordered an HRAP3, figured I should weigh the copy of Battle Fantasia I ordered with something.
