I’m assuming this stick works fine on a PC right?
Yes, all Xbox 360 sticks work with the PC as long as you dl the Xbox 360 controller driver from Mircrosoft.
So I’m going to swap a few, but not all of the buttons in my EX-SE, replacing the colorful buttons with one color.
I have to get PS-14-Gs correct? Not PS-14-GNs or they will be a slightly different size? I was kind of surprised to find out how different they are in shape.

I much prefer the GN’s to the G’s, there’s just something about the G’s I don’t like
all ps-14-wotever are the same size, all of them will fit. screw or snap it does not matter
I’m getting a 360 soon and also my first stick, would i be right in thinking I’d do well with getting one of these?
I’m having some issues with my Hori Real Arcade Pro EX (not SE) and was wondering if someone could help me.
About 6 months ago I modified it, replacing the buttons and ball top with Sanwa parts. The buttons have always worked fine. The problem is with the stick. At some point after modding, one of the stick’s directions stopped working, and I resolved the issue by disconnecting the soldered wire from the microswitch and replacing it with a quick disconnect. Eventually I ended up replacing all 8 microswitches with QDs and this worked fine for months. Recently the down command became less responsive. I resolved this by replacing its respective quick disconnect. Five matches later the same happens to up/left. Same resolution. Five matches later, down and left. I replaced both QDs on the microswitch at the top. Down still does not work. Also, everything appeared in place before I made the switch - the wires were in position and not damaged.
I have no idea where to go from here. This is my first time modding a fightstick.
edit: double post
It is the best out of the box HRAP for the 360. The TEs are also quite good.
What about HRAP EX SA?
That has quality parts out of box too.
They both fit 30mm holes, but the actual button 14-Gs (snap ins) are a little wider than the 14-GNs (screw in).
If you want the same buttons, go with the Gs. They are the same buttons that are in the EX-SE and the button surface is flat rather than round (GNs).
Sorry I mean that are actually released in NA. The EX SA wasn’t correct?
That is right.
HRAP EX SA not in North America.
HRAP 3 SE not in North America either.
Man, I need to put something inside this thing. Why does it sound so hollow compared to other HRAPs?
i think the buttons are partially to blame. they’re a bit loud. Has anyone tried " sound proofing" one of these?
No idea if this is a unique case but…
Has anyone noticed that the EX/EX-SE is noticeably heavier than their brothers on other consoles? I compared the difference between HRAP1, 2, 3, T5 and the EX and the EX was heavier than all of them.
This isn’t an issue at all. I’m just wondering if anyone else has noticed or made the similar comparison.
The HRAP for Xbox 360 do have really big PCB compare to PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 HRAP.
But I don’t know if that would make for noticeable.
The T5 I have right now doesn’t have a bottom plate. I took the EX’s bottom plate and put it on the T5 and now they weigh the same (well, not exactly the same).
I know the EX’s have the full mounting plates instead of the JLF only ones but the HRAP1 and 2’s have them too. Maybe the metal plates are just thicker?
Mounting plate + bigger PCB might explain the extra heft… maybe.
I think I might swap these buttons out with some PS-14-GNs or KNs… the flatness is strange.
What do you guys think of the stock buttons?
