Hello, i recently bought a used Hori RAP ex. It works great but i want to change the buttons to different colors and I also want to tighten the joystick since it seems a little loose. Can anyone help me? I would appreciate it. Hadoken.

i will assume the stick is stock
if so, then the lever is most likely a jlf, is this your first stick? the stick will feel a bit “loose” compared to some of the knock offs, some people add springs or even swap out for seimetsu levers (lets not turn this in to a sanwa vs seimetsu)
i would leave the stick as is, you may take to it after a few long sessions
buttons you can easily swap out by taking off the metal plate from the bottom, but im not sure if butons are soldered to pcb or if it has qd’s
im sure someone will post up the correct info
I’M SORRY. THE STICK IS NOT STOCK. I BOUTHGHT IT USED ON EBAY AND THE GUY SAID HE MOD IT. HE CHANGED SOME OF THE BUTTONS AND HE ADDED A NEW BALL ON THE STICK BUT IT’S A LITTLE LOOSE. THIS IS MY FIRST STICK EVER. I NEVER REALLY LIKED STICKS. I ALWAYS USED CONTROLLERS BUT NOWBUT I CAN SEE WHY STICKS ARE PREFFERED FOR FIGHTING GAMES. EVEN THO I’M STILL GETTING USED TO IT. tHANKS FOR YOUR HELP! i’M NOT SURE WHAT YOU MEAN BGY PCB OR QD’S HAHAHAH AS I’M AM FAIRLY NEW TO ALL THIS. THANKS AGAIN!

navakid23, by default the Hori Rap EX has a Sanwa JLF joystick and Hori brand buttons.
More than likely you still have the same JLF joystick with a different ball top (the plastic ball handle thing on top)
It could be your spring in your joystick is worn out and the replacement spring is like 95 cents online
