There is a video that shows some possible mods here : http://fr.twitch.tv/canadianjoysticks/b/341704225
Anyone did replacement of microswitches with SW 68 ? Working ?
Yes, the process is called getting a better stick.
I have four massiv and quality sticks for playing @ home
But i bought two second hand of this tiny little stick for my raspberry pi and take them to friends for a few fun rounds… The format of the sticks is just perfect for this purpose B)
I can see these being used for Pi sticks on the side. Sure. But why bother trying to swap the microwitches? I’ll bet they have the similar feel and a similar MTBF. Unless you’re talking OMRON B2R-G1’s in Sanwa OBSF-30RGs, the SW-68 microswitches in the standard OBSF-30s do not last long.
You should check a Kuro or Hayabusa button. It might use the same switch…

Didn’t know that SW-68 do not last too long. I was thinking about changing the switches for durability reasons and the extra smooth Sanwa feeling…
Then I guess the switches Hori used in their older arcade sticks without Sanwa buttons (Hori Real Arcade Pro 3) should be the same since the Mini 3 is an older stick (2012) .
