Hori FS EX2 modding problems

So I decided to do my first mod and its not going as planned. The original joystick was replaced with a Sanwa JLF. I used the 5 pin connector for the Sanwa JLF to connecxt the wir3es to the PCB. Now I have random movement, the stick only goes left or right and I can’t seem to figure out where to solder the new wire on the PCB.

Anybod have some detailed pics that could show me where and in what order the wires get mounted on the PCB, thanks,

From what I gathered from the other EX2 mods and after modding my own, you cannot use the 5 pin connector as there is no common ground on the EX2 pcb. You need to break all the connections on the JLF and solder directly to the mircoswitches.

I did do a test with a multi meter, I touched the black ground wire from the JLF which was soldered to a ground on the pcb. All of the coms on the stick beeped when touched, does this mean they were all ground?

You can buy a chip from Toodles that will let you connect command ground joysticks such as the Sanwa JLF and the Perfect 360 to pcbs that do not use a common ground.

how do i find the grounds on the PCB with a multi meter? I am trying to find the grounds for the stick/on the pcb, not the grounds on the switches.

I found the problem, you need to cut the ground traces in the Sanwa JLF PCB in order to wire the stick properly to the hori pcb.
