HORI Fighting EDGE

Thank you very much!! In regards to the internal images, we do not have any internal images as of now… There should be some reviews that will be coming out in the coming weeks that will most likely go over the insides. However, we do not recommend modifying your stick as the manufacturer due to the fact that this will void your warranty.

Hahaha please send us a video first and we will determine whether we can accommodate… ; )

WARKMAN NO CARE

Wow, what corporate responses. Why even bother to start a thread if you’re only going to tell us information that’s already available??

Guys, play nice. I’m glad Hori is here. They are here to help. Just be patient and the community will come up with the rest of the answers. I understand exactly where they are coming from.

That being said, I want to thank them for offering their support to the forum members here.

WHAT? WARKMAN CARE? THIS DISAPPOINT ME. #WARKMANLEGENDS

In regards to the internal images and contents of Fighting EDGE, as the manufacturer cannot share this information. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding.

  3. Yes it is based on the NOIR layout.
  4. Will be able to replace if it is under 90 Day Warranty.
  5. We do not sell individual parts separately for our products.
  6. Will fit but as the manufacturer we do not recommend that you replace the buttons due to the fact that your warranty will be voided.
  7. We do not sell individual parts separately for our products.
  8. At this moment we do not have any plans for offering a carrying case.

It is a beautiful stick. I wish that Microsoft didn’t insist on colored buttons. I might have to find a home for one or more of my sticks to make room…

I’ve a question about those new buttons. Are they more silent than regular Hori/Sanwa parts? I would love some built in silent push buttons for nightly sessions without waking people up.

The old thread has been locked. This will now be the new thread moving forward. If anyone wants any of the old information, please visit here:

A 90-day warranty with a fightstick as complex as this is a bit scary. And if it’s not easy to retrofit with other arcade parts, this becomes a very risky buy. As cool as it looks, I’ll keep my distance until the reviews come in…

^ Just wait. This was JUST released in Japan. Information should be trickling in any moment. Some people in the US have the stick already and I’m sure they’ll share.

I wouldn’t be surprised if our very own ShinJN is putting together a meaty review.

Thank you for your responses.

Although I think most people would agree with me when I say that, the thought that the touch panel could potentially fail and you might be stuck with a half worthless stick is EXTREMELY troublesome to say the least. Hopefully Hori has considered the fact that part of what makes a stick viable in the “serious” market is the ability to replace failed parts quickly and cost-effectively; and will seriously consider offering replacement parts, ESPECIALLY for the touch panel. For that matter, I hope it’s replaceable to begin with.

Guess we’ll just have to wait for more information regarding the internals on this one.

Thank you Hori for the answer on this! We really do appreciated all the support you have given to this forum and the community! I plan to preorder this once I saved enough money and sell one of my old stick (This seems to have everything I want on a stick and I look foward to it’s release here in the states).

I seriously doubt they will ever sell a replacement lcd panel (Its not an lcd panel by the way)just like any electronics you have if it breaks after the warranty you either get it repaired or buy a new one. If you buy a tv with touch panel or a tablet pc and after a year or so using it breaks do you think the manufacture is going sell you a replacement? I have used touch screen units for years and years with never any issues.

Can I get a X360 stick w/ all black buttons? I really dont like the 4 colors buttons that make the stick look like “kid toy”.

I doubt the quality of this touch panel is on par with an $800 iphone or a $2000 TV. That’s not a valid comparison in my book. We’ll just have to see how dependable/durable they are. I am hoping for the best. The stick looks incredible.

Love the design, just not feeling the Namco Noir layout. May I ask why your company chose this over the Vewlix layout? I’ll probably cave in & get this eventually once I hear long-term reviews about the reliability. Was hoping for a 1-year warranty instead of just 90-days but oh well.

I know sako prefers the Noir/Astro style layout because it’s easier for him to plink using the extra buttons. Actually sako and Daigo map the select/back button to the furthest buttons (bottom right) to give them added inputs when doing combos/links.
