Hori Fighting Edge or Eightarc Fusion Synthesis

Have you used the Razer atrox? If so what was your experience of it.

I have not.

my only worry was the fighting edge breaking and not being easy to fix. And have you modded it at all, or taken the top off/replaced parts. if so did u have issues was it difficult?

I think you may be overthinking it. Once you reach a certain price point, these sticks all become pretty easy to do minor mods on (I’m not one to do the electronic mods).

I have taken the top off because I don’t like the 360’s color scheme, so I took two from the ps3, and then switched the micro switches with some sanwa buttons so that each stick had six black hori buttons and two black sanwas (with the hori switches).

If the stick or buttons ever break, while it won’t be easy to get hori parts, replacing them with sanwas would be a piece of cake.

One thing I’ve come to appreciate are sticks that don’t make me want to replace the art. The FE is one of those that I don’t want to change.

I play on pc, should i get the xbox 360 or ps3 version? Which is more popular at tournaments and which is easier to mod.

I’ve not had a problem using any sticks on PCs at this point. I would expect 360 ones might more readily have windows drivers, being MS, but like I said, I’ve had no problems.

360s would be easier to dual mod I suppose, but I haven’t worried myself with that yet. I haven’t played in any tournaments, but they seem to be more often on ps3s. You may want to check around in case your area does it different.

How is the size of the fighting edge in person. I will most likely be traveling a lot with it so will that be a hassle?

I don’t have a Fighting Edge but used the Hori Hayabusa (joystick) and Kuro (buttons) parts in my HRAP EX.
The Hori stick seems to input forward input every time I input down+forward (doesn’t happen for d+b, u+b, or u+f). I’ve since gone back to JLFs and LS-32s. Just something to keep in mind.

Well, carrying around a stick itself is sort of a hassle. The size is bigger than a TE, but not as big as a VLX. I think it’s a pretty good size, myself.
