Wish I found this thread earlier, I go back to HK 2-3 times a year and always enjoy playing SF4 there. Last time I was there I got in on a lot of AE.

Which part of HK are you in? Kowloon or HK side. If gamezone is the one in central (HK side) that is probably the best spot and most consistent competition. They have 4 cabs.

I went to the “Game Smart” arcade a lot in Mong Kok (Kowloon Side). It is by “sneaker street” and off of Soy Street, the arcade is on the 2nd floor next to the bubble tea and Hui Lan San (Mango puding joint), sorry but forgot the cross street. 4 cabs also, pretty decent competition after work hours. Warning, they don’t take care of their sticks and buttons.

There’s also an arcade in Causeway Bay (HK side) called Game Max that has 2 cabs, it’s the arcade downstairs. Also good comp, but last time I was there only 2 cabs which means lots of waiting.

i’m currently staying in an apartment in Aberdeen harbor, although I’m looking to move to wan chai or causeway bay. I’m working at a games studio in cyberport.

I’m actually going to causeway bay after work today, so I’ll be sure to check out the arcades, hopefully they aren’t too tough to find.

if anyone in this thread wants to link for some games PM me or post here, i’m also looking for MVC3 players, could potentially host sessions.

hey I was in Causeway bay yesterday, wasn’t there long (just doing some shopping with a work colleague) but I couldnt see any arcades…

sorry to be a pain but I can’t read cantonese/mandarin so HK Fighter isn’t much use to me… can anyone post directions to the causeway bay arcade from the MTR (train station)? Or directions to any other major fighting arcades from their respective train stops?

Hey I can read some chinese and if I am not mistaken, the HKFighter link above says it is next to SOGO in causeway bay? And google tells me SOGO is here - Welcome to Sogo

EDIT - Okay after some more googling, I think the Gamemax arcade is at 505-511 Hannessy Road. BASEMENT.

If you guys are after some AE action here are some of the places where the action’s at:

Mongkok Smart Game (Next to Newport Cinemas)
Prince Edward Allied Plaza (Inside southern entrance)
Central (on the slope opposite to the Central Markets, next to 7-11)
Causeway Bay Gamemax (next to SOGO)

Had some great games there!

Couldn’t quite get used to sticks/buttons though.

yeah thanks for the heads up guys, I’ve been playing at Game Max in Causeway Bay and in central. Gonna try Prince Edward and Mongkok this week.

Does anyone in HK want to play MVC2 or MVC3? Last time I played here was in 2002 when Cyber City in MK was still around.

I’ll play Marvel! for sure! PM sent. Just so you know, the only MVC2 cab is in Namco Wonderpark in the world trade centre. There are no publi ways to play MVC3 that I know of yet.

Hi guys, I’m in HK for the next few days… Checked out e smart game arcade just off soy st. For some AE action and the level of play is awesome. I’ll probably be there tomorrow and friday, would appreciate some english speaking company!

Hey what’s up? I’m a Canadian MvC3 player (and to a lesser extent, Tekken 6 and SSF4) in HK for all of May. I was wondering two things:

  1. Where’s a good arcade to go to? Does it have AE?
  2. Is there a place where I can pick up a good fightstick for Xbox at an okay price?

I’m in HK for the summer, often for the winter too. Canada the rest of the time. Wouldn’t mind playing some folks from here at arcades or on XBL. My gamer tag’s my username.

I main Cammy for ssfiv ae. Sakura/Gouken/Fei/Chun secondary, still learning that midget Yun XD.
