I moved from France to HK and I’m going to live here until at least end of 2016.
I got in touch with pretty much the whole HK community but it’ll still be great to find some expats.
Anyway places for playing are usually Mongkok (Smart Game) and Central (Jubilee Street) but most of you know it already, and it’s on 2012. If you want Ultra, you got to get in touch with people here and get invited.
If you wanna buy a stick, Wanchai computer Center or Sham Shui Po’s Golden Computer Center should be fine.
Also, most of the people here use Whatsapp for communicating. I’m still linked to my French number, feel free to hit me on Twitter or steam (both Saunic) if you want to meet or play (I have an Xbox and Ultra at home). I live in Sheung Wan, less than 5 minutes walking to Central Game Center.

Hey guys, I check SRK all the time but only the Guile forum lol… keep forgetting to come here and I never get notifications. Anyway yea arcades still have people during typical peak hours (lunch and dinner time at central, Friday nights in mong kok etc) but mostly we play Ultra sessions at private/semi-private gatherings these days.
PM me if you’re interested. The general theme is that we kind of need to trust you before we bring you along if you know what I mean (depending on the venue there may be a fee as well) but short-stay guests are usually exempt.

Hiya. I’m moving to Dongguan in the Guangdong province in China - about an hour away from Hong Kong - and I was wondering about the FGC scene nearby. I’m willing to try most games, though I do prefer anime games like Melty Blood, Guilty Gear and Persona. (I do play Ultra though)

If you’re ever in Guangzhou, TeeMall in Tienhe has SSF4, Tekken, KoF, and a couple other games. I haven’t been able to find any anime fighters here though.

Besides Japan, you’ll hardly find any Anime, but yeah Tianhe is a good place to go if you want to have some challenge in KOF or Ultra.
If you ever come HK, I can help you find (strong) GG players.
