They aired Fist of the North Star on normal TV over here in the UK but at like 1am.
The original series is already censored the blood is more like blinding white, you only see the shadows of exploding bodies. Its the more recent versions of HnK that would be a huge problem, but this was never an anime aimed at kids.

HnK had quite a few humorous scenes, one of my favs is the dwarf guy with cat like martial art style that held the arm wrestling event. I laughed so much when ken struck one his power points which meant he couldn’t let go of his staff, Ken just ended up carrying the staff across town with him dangling on the end :lol:

The fight against Raoh vs. Rei was really good, the series not movie one. I like how he wouldn’t get off his horse.

I liked it when Raoh threw the hundred crack fist but it all happened inside Rei’s mind. After that Rei was like …yeh I’m gonna die SHUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

Not really, he’s just sure of his victory then, he ultimately relented against Kenshiro the first time around after Kenshiro refused to let him leave, and he fought against the Gosha as well, regardless of whether or not they saw the death star(at that point in the story he didn’t even bother asking anymore). Only person Raoh’s ever been shown to be reluctant to fight was Souther.

Man Rei was the best sidekick of all time he never got shadowed by Kenshiro he was more of a partner . Dudes death actually hurt my feelings because I wanted him to survive so much . He could slice arms Mamiya’s clothing and still fight Kenshiro to a stand still dude was a serious threat to everyone even Raoh could have died fighting him.

As for OG Kenshiro, I’ve heard that Akira Kamiya simply can’t do the voice anymore. I think the main reason why they haven’t used the og va’s is because they want to get away from that series for some odd reason… Personally, if it isn’t Banjo Ginga as Souther or Kenji Utsumi as Raoh, it isn’t HnK.

Such a shame…Souther and Kens voices were incredible. It makes me cringe hearing the new ones. Nothing compares to Southers OG laugh and Kens ATATATATATA.

And did we ever found out what happened to Mamiya? Is she just assumed to live happily ever after?

Well, we did see her and Airi briefly in HnK2. Mamiya was just about to take up the Yoyos again when some more punks under Jacko came to her town, but Ken arrived just in time and basically was like…

“No, Mami. You made that promise to Rei.”

Any way, beyond that, nothing official. Though that one game had it so she was the adopted mother of another Nanto practioner woman, who was the next heir to the Suicho style.

Or mainly because the og seiyuu are really on in years, and some are even deceased, so I’m sure just one or two of the original seiyuu in the newer stuff would probably be out of place, or they just want the new gaiden stuff to be completely fresh, it could be either or some combination of both, which I’m leaning towards the latter.
