HNK - Combos & Strategy for Raoh/Juda

Yes, all level 5 moves will deal 17 frames of stun, but that doesn’t factor in the recovery time of the move itself. He keeps messing that part up for some reason. =/

So if you factor in the remaining active time of Sai plus the recovery (7 + 8 = 15 frames), subtract that from 17 and you have +2. Which still doesn’t make sense because the crouch A would be impossible to link. My guess is that the Sai gives some sort of special stun state that is explained elsewhere in the book. But I can tell from intuition alone that there is no way for Sai -> cr.A to be an 11-frame link.

About that jump cancel after c.HP+boost (same time) then j.lk+boost same time then airspike question i asked previously. Well i practise like a madman its been 2 days now and not even once i pulled it off. So i watched the movie again and what i see is different then what i am doing, In the video if he does the jump cancel after c.hp he jumpes and does j.lk+boost but… his j.lk+boost goes diagonaly downwords a little bit just enough room to airspike the opponent while mine goes straight forward or a little bit upwords making me miss the opponent time after time:wasted:. I did exactly what you told me but whit no succes. So what am i doing wrong? Is it just that difficult to perform? Here is what i am doing:
c.lp, c.lp, c.lk, s.hk, cancel into hp/hk, forward, dp+lp, c.hp+boost (same time), j.lk, j.lk, airspike, c.lp, clp, c.lk, s.hp, s.hp/hk, c.hp+boost (same time), jump cancel, j.lk+boost same time wich does not connect the opponent. I am sorry to ask this again but help is much needed here.

After crouching HP, you IAD forward and immediately press j.LK+Boost. You have to do it very quickly. Also, the faster you do the crouching HP off of the Banishing Strike -> Boost, the better. You pretty much want it to be Banishing Strike -> Boost into IMMEDIATE crouching HP, then as soon as crouching HP connects, IAD~j.LK+Boost. It’s very difficult.

Thank you Beast of Fire your right after crounching HP you MUST IAD forward pulled it of since i know what to do now i can practise now knowing what to do. Strange i did it before but with no succes perhaps i wasnt ready back then. But its very difficult

It’s important to know that after the banishing strike connects, you need to actually hit boost rather than just hold forward. This is to ensure that the crouching fierce that follows connects as soon as possible, so they won’t be too low to the ground. And yes, then once the crouching fierce connects you hold up-forward and hit K+boost as soon as Raoh becomes airborne, then 2-in-1 the sai from the jumping K. This and getting behind them afterwards for the instant jump cancel sai are the most difficult parts of the combo imo.

That’s incorrect Chad, you have to instant air dash (ie hit up-forward and then forward again) then hit j.LK+Boost. Just holding up-forward is not enough.

Also, you can hold forward to auto-boost after the Banishing Strike and still get crouching HP out in time. Just gotta be fast.

No Blake, I have done it w/out instant air-dashing. It is a lot easier that way. However with my technique you WILL need to hit boost rather than hold forward after the BS, if you don’t wanna instant air-dash. You could do it your way, hold forward and then instant air-dash, but it’s easier to hit boost then just jump cancel w/out instant air-dashing.

EDIT: Bumpin’ it one last time for any who may not have seen it…

Also, PHARAON - any info/input you’d be willing to contribute concerning Raoh would be much appreciated.
