Got mine today. I can already say it was worth every penny (well, maybe not the ridiculous 27 dollar fee customs charged me).
It’s light, compact, beautiful to look at. Mine actually came with a colour scheme that as far as I recall was not listed in the order, but I actually love it (black case, red and black logo, white movement buttons, powder blue attack buttons. They go together amazingly, and I usually hate powder blue).
After something like 3 hours playing with it I’m consistently doing 55% damage Sektor combos and Jax’s pound loop in MK9 (which I’ve owned for less than 2 weeks) and my execution is superior compared to the stick I’ve had days of game-specific practice on. So much that used to be difficult is now fast and light and effortless. I feel like I bought an upgrade for my hands.
I was expecting to run into difficulty with the fact I have the most experience playing on keyboards where the movement is on my right hand, but I was surprised how quickly I forgot about that. Actually, I was also surprised how quickly I forgot that I was jumping with my right thumb. The only reminders I had were when I successfully landed multiple dash punches into d u 4 with Jax (which I couldn’t do consistently on a stick).
Looking forward immensely to trying this in AE, it will be a much more tolerable game now that I can spend at least as much time fighting my opponent as the antiquated input design. Good show HB crew.

I have a question for the folks who run this thread. My turn has come up for the PS3/PC hitbox, but I will be waiting for the dual-modded version. Would it be possible to help out a fellow srk member who wanted to purchase one now and let him or her, I guess you could say, take my place in line for the PS3/PC version? I would still want my place in line for the for the dual-mod of course, it just seems like just a waste to let all that time I spent waiting for one, when I could help someone out to get theirs now. If its possible, the first person to pm me would get my place in line. I wont accept any money, I just wanted to help someone else get a hold of this.

I know I’m the dude that made the template and all, but is there any way I can get some kind of confirmation from the Hit Box staff on the accuracy of my button placement? I am having some lenticular artwork printed and shipped in from California, and at $125 a pop, I would really like to get this right the first time. D:
Honestly, I wouldn’t put the holes in your artwork if I were you. Use them as a frame of reference when you make it, but for printing just use straight artwork.
Well, of course, but I have to instruct whatever company I’m having cut holes out of the lenticular artwork (which is something like 8mm thick). Or maybe I should just wait till mines comes in, remove the buttons and use the already present holes in the box to guide me. I guess I could cut them with an exacto knife.

Remember that the order goes faster for the PS3/PC version of the HitBox, not 360/Dual-Mod
Also you can just order a good converter which will become playable on both consoles. At least that’s what I’m gonna do.
its really easy to Dual mod after you buy the PS3/PC… better to do than a converter in the long run…

Take a look at the vids posted & just practice muscle memory. I find it easier if to treat the Up button like a “space bar to jump.”
Been waiting close to 2 months now… I know the wait time is long, I just want to make sure that I wasn’t skipped or something. o.o;
I just finished building mine. It is strange to have the jump button as the farthest down, but I’m already getting used to it, and combos are becoming way easier to complete.
When can we expect another “How to Hitbox” video???
