LOL where are the creators of the thread?
EVO preparations?
I want info please!
We’re not doing anything special for EVO as it turns out. We’ll be there walking around in our Hit Box shirts, but we won’t have a booth or anything.
Wow! I figured that you guys would be set up with a booth. Is there any particular reason for this i.e. you don’t have a lot of extra controllers on hand for test playing and selling, or was it because there wasn’t any available booths?
Price was an issue as well as the time frame, and our booth would probably just turn into a casuals station again like it did at ReveLAtions, not that it was a problem, but there’s going to be plenty of those at EVO.
Seeing as there is not release date for UMVC3 yet and they haven’t even announced all the characters that are going to be in the game, while Per from Akihabrashop who makes the ps360+ (pcbs that they will be using for the dual modded hitboxes) has said they are going to be available in the next month or two means that they will have dual modded boxes quite a bit sooner than UMVC3 release that isn’t guaranteed to be anytime this year.
If you were going to go the dual mod route, all you would need is some form of Xbox PCB to wire to our PCB. We use the Cthulu board, which is one of the easiest boards to work with for such a project and I’m sure there’s plenty of tutorials all over the place to help you out.
I stand corrected. Still Per said they would be available Q3 of this year, so it will be before UMvC3 is out. Unless there is some sort of delay because of the high demand for the PS360+.
@ Hitbox Team…
I know it’s hard to start a new company and keep everything running smoothly. But could you guys please make an ETA for the people on your waiting list?
This would go a long way (in terms of customer service) for those who want to buy your controller.
Thanks.
Also…
Your “How To Hitbox” vids are great. They got me interested enough to want 1 and test for myself.
Okay, since the last two posts have to do with an ETA, I’m going to say this.
We can’t give you an ETA because we ourselves have no idea how long it will take. We get our parts from other companies and every single one of them needs to come through before we can make a product. We don’t get an ETA from them either. Because we don’t know when we can get parts, we don’t know when we can send you boxes. We understand that you’re anxious and you want to know how long you can expect to wait before getting your box, fact of the matter is we can’t give you that information because we don’t have it either.
All I can say is that if you be patient, you will get your box. Good things come to those who wait.
I really appreciate all of the work you guys are putting in to keeping people on the waiting list satisfied and up-to-date to the best of your guys’ ability. I know you guys can’t give an ETA on the ps360 hitboxes and why so what I was curious about are the parts for the ps360 hitbox. When the company you guys are ordering from has the parts ready are you just going to be able to crank out hitboxes as fast as you can or are you guys just waiting on one shipment of parts and will only be able to make a handful of them before having to wait for however long it takes to get another shipment of parts?
We talking dual modded boxes? Want.
There’s a few things we’re waiting on at the moment, and when they come in we can only get so many at a time and then we have to wait for the next round. It’s not a very efficient process, but there’s nothing we can do about it at the moment.
We do make sure your Hit Box will be plenty protected during shipment, no need to worry there. And when you say the color of the bottoms I take it you mean buttons. We do have some color options for buttons available, however we pre-make them with usually two different colors, one for the movement and one for the attacks. If you keep your request to similar limits, we can accommodate you. As for shipping time, it should be standard shipping, so be prepared for it to take a couple weeks.
Thank you for the info. I’m pretty eager to get my hands on a hitbox (this will be my first stick) so is there any way I can switch my request from the dual modded stick to just the ps3/pc one without going to the end of the waiting list? Should I email hitbox or is there no way to switch while keeping my spot on the list?
I’m not quite sure how that’s handled at the moment. Send an inquiry to the main e-mail and see what Shawn has to say about it, although it might take a while to get a response.
Thank you for the quick answer and OMG I was really tired the day I wrote that by making that awful mistake!
Another question… since I´m pretty new to fightsticks do they receive some updates or something in that manner? in case the stick is no compatible with some other fighting games.
EDIT:
Well Im off to the waiting list I can´t wait to try the hitbox
