All it would really do is make the half circle more idiot proof, I don’t see how it would speed anything up since at the end of the day there’s only one optimal speed, which is 5 frames for a perfect half circle. I see what you’re saying, really I do, but it’s just not an important issue right now.
wait so I have a stick for ps3 I made its all seimitsu parts and a mc cthulu. If i install four buttons instead of a stick this will operate correctly? Cuz Im really interested in this being Im way more on point with buttons commands then stick motions.
Yes, it’ll work just fine. Only problem you’ll run into is the faceplate.
well I kinda have my own layout I would use as for the buttons. and I have extra mdf I can spare to change out my layout. Could this also work with a 360 madcatz se stick? If I made a custom faceplate. or does that pcb not allow it?
Sorry, I don’t know dink about SE’s, but I assume as long as you wire the buttons in a similar fashion to the stick, it should work just fine. I’d be willing to bet someone made a tutorial somewhere about how to convert a Madcatz stick into a Hit Box.
ok is there anyone on here that sells 360 pcbs or something I can use to dual mod the mc cthulu. I dont wanna take apart a 360 controller and solder the small points since I really dont have those skills yet. something aside from the akishop ps360 board. since there on back order already.
You can try the new Toodles Kitty Kit, but it’s made for a TE so you might run into some issues with the size of the board.
I dont really understand how that works. That will allow me to use a ps3 cthulu on 360? cuz I know Im gonna mod my stick like a hit box and ill be pissed I can only use it on ps3 lol
The Kitty is an easy as pie dual mod board that only works with the 360 Madcatz TE (and possibly SE) stick. You’d keep the Cthulu stick and have a dual mod SE.
oh i got you ill look into that is it easier to mod a 360 fightpad to work with cthulu?
To make a Cthulu dual mod you have to padhack a 360 controller into it, which requires soldering. If you want to dual mod with the Kitty, you need a Madcatz stick. Much easier, it’s basically the 360 TE version of the PS360.
well thing is and sorry Im sure this isnt the thread for this but your giving me instant responses. I like my custom stick much better with it larger and sturdier then the puny Se. Fits on my lap much nicer and looks better of course with the plexi. I play more 360 now and I have an se 360 stick and a custom stick with the cthulu for ps3. Im just trying to find the most cost effective and easy way to use my custom stick on 360.
Well if you’re really wanting to use the custom stick either you padhack the Cthulu or you wait for the PS360+ to come out, since to my knowledge those are going to be your only options.
Alright I really didnt wanna take all the contents of the madcatz stick and jam it into the custom stick since theres like 4 boards in there. I didnt kno if there was just a base pcb in the madcatz stick that can piggy back with the cthulu to work. cuz I can deal with combing two stick into one.
Sorry if this has been asked a lot, but does the jump button really benefit a lot from being in the middle like that?
I feel like I’d always use my left thumb, and not my right. Accordingly, it seems like it would be in the way of my right hand. I feel like if I use the standard Hit Box layout, I’d constantly have to worry about nicking the jump button with my right thumb while just hitting regular old attack buttons.
Is this not that much of a problem when actually using a Hit Box?
Normally I’d just try and make my own layout and move it all over to the left a bit, but I just wanna turn my TE stick into a Hit Box with a metal panel rather than go through all that.
No one has had that issue yet. Most people feel the same way you do and then they end up using their right thumb to jump and sending us e-mails about how much it leveled up their game. Not trying to sound cocky or anything, but honestly we have yet to get a negative comment in an e-mail.
All I needed to hear
All this “Right Thumb to Jump” nonsense makes no sense to me.
I mean, I’m glad the option is there.
But haven’t y’all ever played a proper PC FPS before? … oh wait, in FPS games I use mouse2 for jump anyway…
Amp, that is all kinds of disgusting. And in PC FPS I use my right thumb for the space bar.
You want to see disgusting? Look up some of the configs for big Quake pros like Gellehsak and Toxjq.
Tox:
M1 = forward
M2 = back
x = right strafe
z = leftstrafe
c = shoot
It gets even crazier from there.
