Hinokakera 3.01a Fragment Eclipse with P2P NetPlay (!)

Yea and it’s terrible. I downloaded it this morning and was working with it. And when I tried to record stuff, it forced the game to go at a slower speed. Running without Fraps at 60 fps and then with it in record at 30 fps or less. Lame!!!

And I tried every setting to make the game run smoother while Fraps was recording and got nothing.

Is there something I’m NOT doing right?

WHAT? The lag is that bad? Shit. I really wanted to have some matches too… This sucks.

Oh hell nah, the rule is lag is great until proven otherwise amongst who u want to play vs. So we are still going to TRY to play this weekend…kneegrow…:lovin:!!!

One hell of a v3.01 combo vid (+ loops and glitches).

You can DL it here: http://mybloop.com/go/v57uNH
It’s in some weird RMVB format, though.

v3.01a bug-video

Hey, cool game.

Looks like I have to give this game a chance again. I’m impressed with what I’ve seen so far of 3.01a.

Cool game but sometimes I got some problems in the story mode.
At some places it freezes. What to do someone?

It’s a known bug. Try to skip through Story mode with Auto-Read on (and ‘text speed’ set to 10) - if it still crashes, then there’s something with your PC or operating system. Likely missing japanese fonts.

What are the system requirements for this game? I’m really bored of all the games right now, so I’m looking for something new. Also, how is the guy with guns in this game? He looks interesting to play.

its runs on my pos laptop (512 ram, 1.2ghz, onboard video)

don tbother though this game is terrible

mashing buttons makes more lag, during netplay

Try using a program called AppLocale. It displays the Japanese text once you start it up. Oh yeah, another thing; you have to start the game up through the configurations icon, not the game icon. It will freeze if you load the game from the Hinokakera icon, even using AppLocale.

Overall, I heard netplay is pretty much unplayable. I haven’t even bothered with it yet.

Like before, I’m interested in purchasing the game for the music files, so does anyone know where they actually sell the physical copy of this game? I’ve looked around, but the only information I could find was that all three Hinokakera “games” were sold commercially, which doesn’t help me much.

Also, does anyone know if the music to Hinokakera changes drastically from game to game? I can’t tell if the two most recent Hinokakera games are anything more than just minor updates/patches. I’ll do some YouTube research on this, but just in case I can’t figure it out, there is a slim chance that someone here has actually played all three Hinokakera games. So, it doesn’t hurt to ask, right?

Thanks.

The only music files you get are the WAVs in the [music] folder of the game itself. There are no CD Audio tracks, if that’s what you’re interested in. There is no separate OST either. Nevertheless, i think on HK’s homepage there’s a list of doujin shops that sell the game.

v1-2 had no changes in music. v3 has all the previous ones + new themes for Ashley, Malakh, K-Aya and a bunch of tracks for the Story mode.

That’s exactly what I was looking for, actually, and that’s why I had a sudden interest in the game (Heard they were in .wav format elsewhere) . Thanks for the information on the audio differences between the games and the lead on where to purchase the game. It makes my job a lot easier, I think.

How do you play as Ashley ?

I actually bought the game recently and just “played” through Story mode (on Normal) once and I got Ashley and the evil version of Aya as a reward.

If you can’t read Japanese, make sure you have the text speed at the fastest level and the auto read function on when doing Story mode. Otherwise, it’s going to be a while before you get Ashley.

ZA BAMPU.

The game’s not dead, believe it or not. According to Akaishi’s most recent blog posts, he’s been hammering away at the graphics engine in order to improve visuals and bring more eye-candy to the soujin-loving masses. So…no word on possible system/character changes, but at least it’s going somewhere.

So far, only Raven’s model is ready (along with one of the stages and various special effects). Akaishi will display a ‘sample’ of the new version at this year’s Comiket 75 (which is tomorrow, if i’m not mistaken).

Anyways…with better graphics, I’d be much more inclined to even give this game a try. The visuals of the current version just look so BAD. Anyways, here’s to hoping.

Yeah, the graphic change is easily noticeable and looks much better… maybe gotta give a try.

Hinokakera is very fun, but extremely glitchy and full of infinites… still i have some friends here who plays it just for the lulz.
