you know, the thought of this has been in my mind for quite some time. I mean…I remember seeing makoto yell and move around very fast on the screen back when I used to play 3S. Seeing her scream out random shit in the game made me think “What if she went supersaiyn or someshit like that?”

I’d love to see some redone spirtes for JJBA, though.

Sorry for missing that. Very good shit. They all don’t look like “sprites”, though. They look more like paper drawings. lol. It’s a nice touch though. I think it gives off a good comic feel to it.

Does anyone have the link to the web page that told Capcom’s process for redrawing the sprites? I think it was one that mentioned they used software to convert the sprites into a different type of image, and than of course the artist would continue it.

No and yes… It would depend on the software used. Basically they take the sprite inlarge it to the scale then start manually adding detail, retaining as much of the sprites original form. Many people in this thread have done the same thing. Most popular and smart easy to do thing is using layers… What did D.A(digital art) do before layers… Such a time saver… That along with Ctrl+Z lol.

Honestly it’s taking them far to long… Udon wasn’t a good group to use, they spread themselves too thin with everything. I’ve talked to them in person and as professional as they are and such no one group can do all that stuff. We aren’t talking about a huge production studio here.

Bottom line is: Capcom has the resorces to make things happen faster but they choose the cheaper route… No matter the cost they must be saving money by using them otherwise there isn’t much of a reason to wait like this… I heard a November submission to Xbox Live (I donno about PSN) meaning it should be out sometime this year.
