cheers for the reply. yea i noticed you barely use the cross up hop combo in more recent vids, i guess people catch on pretty quick, i just starting playing blanka trying to gather as many tricks as i can .

As a fairly casual Blanka player (but someone who’s been playing fairly regularly since SSF2), I was hoping you might clarify something for me regarding Blanka’s potential vs higher tier characters.
It seems that there’s a pretty consistent connection (minus akuma) with characters being able to combo into their ultras, and the tier rankings. Considering Blanka can combo into his ultra for massive damage off of a jump in, a ducking forward, or even a ducking short…combined with the quality of his pokes… is there the potential for him to move up the ranks over time? Watching clips of Toyo’s Blanka going toe to toe with Daigo leaves me hoping…

Against your Sagat I tried a cross up j.mk, st.lp, electricity, but you TU’d me prior to the st.lp. Was I just missing the timing, or is there something where you can hit me as long as you blocked the j.mk?
