Meaty instant tsurugi on opponent’s KD seems to go over some wake up shoryus, and if they do nothing, they’ll get a meaty kick to the face. EX seems to be easier at pulling this off.
Also ending combos with EX oroshi compared to EX dash punch seems more plausible. EX oroshi does more stun, damage and gives you a free KD that you cannot quick recover AKA free mix up. EX dash punch would be for corner mix ups(EX hayate > forward+lk, 3s style).
If you can read your opponent well I find a regular hayate does just fine. I try to save my meter for super, so if I want an untechable knock-down I use sweep, otherwise I just fp xx fp hayate. Once you’ve trained them not to press jabs after the fp hayate (if they do that) you can then grab them for free afterwards. LP oroshi xx super xx ultra is pretty damn deadly and almost impossible to see coming if you don’t oroshi on wake up often.
I was messing around with this the other day. EX Hayate as a finisher is useless, unless you hit them into the corner. If you’re going to use the meter, you may as well go for EX Oroshi.
Not sure if it was posted already or not but i noticed while doing a light hayate in a combo you can charge it just a little before executing it for a little more dmg and stun and have it still chain.
Not alot but every little bit helps.
Yep. I’ve been ending my combos with EX Oroshi if I have meter. If not, I opt to just go for the mp/hp hayate depending.
Only thing that sucks about the EX Hayate to f.lk reset now is if they mash a reversal, no matter which side you land on after the reset, auto correct is going to save their ass. At this point, I’ve been using EX Oroshi in the corner and using the f.RH feint for cross ups on wake up.
hey guys. I just found out about the EX Hayate > FADC > F+LK reset. So, I decided to provide an example of what can happen after the LK reset. Please excuse my terrible execution.
I’m pretty sure if you dash immediately it’s a fake crossup, and if you delay your dash a bit you actually do crossup. That’s how it worked for me in the corner.
Does TKing Ex-orochi/kara really give it throw invulnerability? I’ve been testing fwd+mk (which is -1 on block) into ex-orochi/kara vs an opponent mashing throw, and the throw wins every time.
I also don’t think ex-orochi has super armor. Rather, all lows seems to whiff through it.
Short vid of a couple of follow up to the Lvl2FA>Lvl1FA reset. Let me know if it’s anything you guys want tested. Lol. I thought my first vid of SSF4 would be of Guile. O well. Enjoy guys.
