I’ve heard wanker snuck into more than a few childrens’ cartoons. It’s got virtually no impact here in the states, same thing with a lot of French swears. They get away with French swears a LOT in cartoons and games. Not so much with Spanish swears though, too many people here speak enough Spanish to know better.

The thing is that it really isn’t seen as a profanity in Texas, at least. It’s because some of the people here are ignorant (Like me) and think that my speech impediment is a “British” accent.
