yeah, we have a resident casual player that does dual mods. You can drop off your stick at the shop or arrange a meeting with him. It’s $90 for an xbox stick to be modded, $100 for a ps3 stick to be modded. There are no switches or anything special you have to do to activate it, just plug and play.
Hidey has a converter on sale at the shop…i think it’s the black box thingy. He’ll probably let you give it a whirl if you want and probably give you good deal on it.
yeah…that’s weird. You can try hitting start and select at the same time as it may activate the menu button, but kinda tight that they didn’t wire up your home button
Just to further support the service, he does an amazing job. Quick, clean, and backs up his work if you have any issues.
Definitely the best mod service in the GTA.

My dms don’t require a physical switch. Its plug and play for x360 dms.

Ben, what PCB was used for the dual mod? Was it dual strike?
I’m not sure which stick you have so I could be talking out of my ass. I dual modded my te stick with a chimp a few weeks back and it is a seperate wire to run back for the xmb button. Allthough I did not find the stud on the pcb hard to solder, I could see it being a bit of a pita for an amateur. Possibly even bridging 2 points.
If you do have a te stick do yourself a favor and remove the top plate and check the top left PCB. See if a wire is even soldered at any point and run down to whichever chip you have. If it works on the ps3 and not the Xbox it must be the way the xmb is interrupted since the stick will be “stock” when using it with an Xbox.
Actually, if yu have a x360 te, there’s a point on the top left pcb that is guide. Theres no need to get at the contact underneath the button itself.
I believe the point is called xguide or something like that. You’ll see it in my albums of work… You’ll see that for x360 sticks I don’t have a wire running underneath the panel.

Patrick just left after some “friendly” matches. Played best out of seven games and beat him(finally) 6 - 5! I can sorta do target combo sjc cancel into Ultra 2 now whereas he can cancel into his stupid raging demons!
This means I am improving on stick and the fact that I do like my VLX better than my Q3 now lol!

I’m thinking of coming by. I have to let remind those geniuses at TPH that the resolution was huge only because it was at 300DPI, once converted to inches, it’s about 8 x 14 inches whereas their largest label paper is 11x17 inches!
lol that’s sad, now I will have to lug “that” thing around everywhere now lol! Maybe I should look into that HRAP Pro Travel bag.
