yeah, ranbats at 6:30 for those of you that want to participate, casuals will be running as normal, so anyone that doesn’t want to give it a go can simply play normally. and casuals will be running as normal from 5pm onward, i just chose 6:30 cause some ppl don’t come until later. i will actually have the stations set up around 1/2pm anywayz so people can come early if they like.

I gave the Fight Commander 3 a quick test spin today, and it seems really good! if you had someone do a pad hack and swap the wires for the two right triggers with the left, then you’ll have a perfect pad. Reason is that R1, R2 are on the face of the pad, and then the R1,R2 buttons are also mounted…meaning if you use any short cuts (focus, Px3 or Kx3) they will have to be set to L1, L2. If only there was someone on this forum that could hack a pad easily…hmmm…oh yeah our good friend at Krossmods WUN YAN…i’ll ask him how much to do such a swap!
Just a small sampling of the ridiculous SF oddities in my “shrine”. I’ve never played it and have extremely low expectations…who knows, it might surprise us.
(either that or we’ll set it ablaze after Ranbats finish).

I’ll definitely give some of those fightpads a trial tomorrow! Yes I am more biased towards Hori as you can see, the blue Hori controller that Jon pointed out to me at the last casual looks like a winner with 4 shoulder buttons and tiny buttons. Total casual player here, I will have to be briefed on the terms(ranbats and swiss style) tomorrow~
lol, as long as the SFIV OST has Indestructible, Patrick will be happy if he gets it haha! I wonder if the OST is any different from the one that comes with the Collector’s Edition(yes another sucker wasted $20+ to get it on PS3), the Japanese SSFIV Collector’s Edition is way better in terms of display content as well as how they did the case for the arranged OST + Promo DVD.
As for cleaning fightsticks, I use automotive glass cleaner which I get free from my bro from Toyota…Does anything containing acetone eat plastic? If so, steer clear of that stuff. I use the glass cleaner because it’s more commercial use and I’ve used it on plenty of applications(cleaning my PS3’s glossy coat, fight sticks, cell phone and etc), seems to take off the grime and dirt and nothing else.

we’ll typically use watered down windex, you don’t wanna use any super harsh chemicals cause it’ll eat away at your plastics. Ideally you shouldn’t even use windex…just soapy water
yeah, should be a good time…ranbats/swiss style is pretty much the style of tourney we ran in october. I gave the Hori EX2 a whirl today too, the cross style d-pad is awesome…but the position of it is a little strange cause it’s on the lower section instead of the top like a ps3 controller. but the good part is it alternates the left and right trigger buttons on the face…unlike the FC3 for ps3, so you don’t have to pad hack to get a few of your shortcuts on the top…but you could to make a more efficient controller
on another note, i’ll be opening the shop tomorrow (10am) so the stations will be setup from then…i won’t be able to play until the set time (4/5ish) but anybody is more than welcome to come early and practice! I also managed to pick of the newest costume pack for the PS3 at the shop, so you can see a few of the new costumes…i’ll try and get another points card to get more

No worries me neither, seem to be doing badly this days, been losing more than usual . Its just soooo extremely difficult with gouken the way he is now 
. The buff’s are good, and I don’t think being able to hit confirm only one of his specials makes him over power, having 3 jumping normals with pursuit properties might lmao . And its about time they gave him a normal with knockdown , how come Ibuki and Juri get one and the Master of the power of nothingness doesn’t lmao.
And I agree with u man, the move i wanted to be fixed the most was the tatsu, its start up is just too long, its hard to use as an AA , if I try to use it quickly, I get a parry lol. So i dont use it often as an AA. As for its attack box, i cant disagree with what it is now, seeing as its animation is a high hitting roundhouse kick. It already has the largest attack box of all his AA moves (ST. MK , CR. MK , CR.HP , ST. MP ) . Wouldn’t be bad to allow him to hit confirm into it but , that would definitely over power him, so many combos, could be landed if he could and his ultra , whoa lol
Acetone and plastic is not a good idea. If you have adhesive or grime on your stick you can use Ronsonol (zippo lighter fluid) safely and it works wonders. Don’t use that gum/grime-away junk as it most likely contains acetone.

The reason why your stick gets dirty is because of your sweat and hands and skin. Unless you’re doing something else to it that we don’t know of… (or perhaps don’t want to know of… =P)
i.e. Patrick’s (akuma player) PS3 pad, ewww!
I know he’s a sweater + he uses lotion and he’s not a dirty person but one reason I don’t use his pad aside from the weird “X” is the grime on his controller…He leaves his pad at my place but yeah, I don’t ever want to touch it lol.

^Yeah I know, I’ve mentioned it in the past but got a response making me feel like the guy at fault, what’s worse was back in Vanilla days where I borrowed my bro’s pad and he used it, my bro got it back and he was like “WTH did you do with my controller??” Ever since then, he has brought his own pad to play with lol.
Funny thing was that I think I saw some poor pad playing using his pad a casual or two ago…
My pad on the other hand…does not suffer from that, just a mild case of rage where it’s has fallen apart 5 times…It’s gotten so bad that the shoulder buttons broke and one of the pillars for the screws holding the controller together snapped apart. As a final fix, I’ve decided that I would super glue the whole thing shut and secure…all in all, I’ve raged less and the pad is pretty solid still…I think.
