MVC3 shadow mode?
anybody give it a whirl yet? they released some DLC for $1 to add to shadow mode. Is it worth it? shadow mode a good way to practice or learn from?

It’s true, I can’t see MvC3 being very big after AE drops on console simply because of all the pay DLC it will have. If they’re gonna build up to the same amount of characters MvC2 has, then that’s a lot of money already. That’s the point where I’m just gonna either not play as much or just wait until character discount packs
Well, no one seemed to mind paying $4-$5 for a horse armour sets in S/SF4, which functionally did nothing, and its not required for game play, so its not really a big deal.
As for AE being bigger than MvC3, I doubt it, but i’m sure they’ll be equal in terms of play time… my 2 cents

The bottom line is that this is a trend in the industry. Releasing DLC post-sale, some of which may already be “included” on the disc.
At the end of the day it’s at the players discretion whether they choose to d/l or not. Personally I don’t think a few extra bux here and there is that big of a deal, especially considering the amount of playtime dedicated followers get out of their purchase.
Think of it in terms of entertainment value. Even if you drop $100 on the disc and subsequent DLC, the “value” goes far beyond a trip to the Keg.
You know what’s really good? Red lobster. Seriously. i dunno why they keep shutting them down. There’s one in scarborough and it’s fantastic

Nono, What I meant that for the whole AE Console vs MvC3 fiasco is that atleast in June(speculated release) is that we should atleast see 95% of the full rooster for AE console meaning character DLC can’t be that expensive whereas MvC3 seems like it will only seem fresh if Capcom keeps pumping out pay DLC.

good showing last night everybody! i only manged to get a few games in of super, but had a blast…my stupid comic shipment was late so i didn’t see much action once it arrived. i was looking forward to seeing the danny vs jack mvc3 match. hopefully danny is feeling better (hope you didn’t catch that stomach flu like lots of ppl lately, that shit is nasty) next week and maybe you guys can run it then…we could see if we can get the matches recorded if you guys want
i’m looking forward to a supposed AE dlc…dunno if it’ll be enough to knock down MVC3 king right now…i suspect it’ll at least bring up the SSFIV interest. Personally i’m still liking SSFIV better…probably cause i invested so much more time into it so far…and the 3 on 3 action of marvel just seems like so much to learn. as for DLC they’ll keep making it if we keep buying it…i’d have to say i’d prefer to have the option of not downloading any DLC than having no DLC support at all
mk9 will have 2 vs 2 matches where 4 players can play on one console…that should be interesting…dunno how your gonna plug in 4 joysticks though…should make for some fun matches though
lastly, looking for some help in equipment next week…as most of us know hidey is going on a well deserved vacation (or business trip), so i’m looking to see if anybody can bring out a ps3, or copies of MVC3 for either ps3 or xbox. we’re also looking for anybody that might have gamecube controllers so we can get some smash going
