hey guys! light casuals are green lit for today. $5 entry please to help finish off the last of the monitor. Will have 3 stations set up, all xbox 360. 2 SSFIV and 1 MVC3…if you have a copy of mvc3 on xbox360 bring it cause i only have 1 copy
the rumor was june…but recent news suggests that we will not get AE edition on consoles. My guess is that they are simply not going to call it “arcade edition” but something else and i would also guess around june/july time we’ll see something…but this is all guessing
As such, the price for my X360 Dual Mods will be increased to $95 (from $90 that I used to charge) to cover the change in parts.
The benefit of the SMD is that it uses screw down terminals. Stick maintenance will be easier and wire management will be cleaner. Most importantly, the time to do a DM with the SMD (for me) has been cut in half.
I’ve just completed a DM with this ChImp SMD and from start to end and it took me 2 hours flat. What this means is that it is quite possible for me to complete a DM (or two) within a day (and/or even a Wednesday/Friday session at Heroes).
If such an express option is wanted, then the price is going to be $100 for an X360 DM. Otherwise, the average turn around period is still going to be a day or two depending on how busy I am personally.

So you’re passing on a cost to the customers, a cost that saves you half the time to do a DM (meaning you can do 2 of them in the time it use to take you to do 1), AND charging people more for it? I’m glad to see you’re honest atleast.
the quality of work is still there…and i’d say the amount of support wun provides is more than worth it…i’d say he was under charging before anyway. I know it’s easy to say that if install time is cut in half then price should also be cut in half but i’m sure wun has his reasons.
Just because I can to two of them in the time it takes me to do one doesn’t mean I will get twice the amount of people who will want to dual mod their sticks. People aren’t necessarily paying for just the time spent, but also the quality of the service and now, the speediness of the job. In comparison with the people in the trading forums in the States, the cost overall is still less expensive.
Ultimately, it’s up to to people to decide whether they want to choose me to dual mod their sticks.

But I do agree. As a person who does the modding locally, I can provide support even after the job has been done - afghaniheat and syn13 would know how much I’ve more work (and stuff bought) I’ve put into their HRAP3 and VLX Premium. Who’s covering those charges? Not the customer. It’s me. I pretty much want my clients to be happy with the sticks I’ve worked on be it a week, month, year, or even two years from now. As such, support for the stick is pretty much indefinite.
also don’t forget that this is all probably stuff Quan doesn’t know…he probably just saw a post where a guy was selling dual mods and posted that install time is 1/2 and price has gone up slightly and he was probably wondering WTF?
Actually i was searching for a person to do Dual mods on 3-4 sticks for HQ as we’re short sticks. It would be infinitely more convenient if we had all our sticks DMed.
That being said, i never questioned your work. ALLCAPS reccomeded i take my sticks to you, which is what brought me to this thread. To assume that i wasn’t interested in your business was just silly on your part, and instead of being a good vendor and just explaining to me why your costs are up (like you did in the second part of your post), you decide to project me as a tire kicker and just lost yourself possibly 4 DM jobs.
I’m not sure what you have done for Afghaniheat, or syn13, but you’re taking money to do a job, meaning you should be doing it right. Fixing anything that goes wrong with a job that YOU have done for someone is not something that you should be going on about. If you were doing the DMs for free, AND also helping people after the fact, then i will applaud you as a model citizen, but you’re taking cash for these jobs, which people expect you to do right (or else people would just do it themselves).
