Heroes World Thread (Toronto/York/Markham) CASUALS EVERY WEDNESDAY

Jon, Steve told me he left my TE-S template art with you. Do you know how to apply it on, and how long would it take??

I’ll tell you a secret: I use Guile online ranking! lol… but I don’t play online very often. The reason why I don’t use Guile during casuals (but my alts) is because I want to learn my alts under conditions where lag is not a factor. I also want whoever I’m playing to learn as well. If I keep pounding their asses in with my Guile, they’d just be salty and not learn. On the other hand, I have a much higher chance of losing with my alts. And if the winning is even, they’ll know what works against my alts and I’ll know what I can do to make my alts better. The learning experience is mutual. Though, if anyone wants to learn the Guile matchup, feel free to ask me.

Now that I look back at my FT10 with Navi, had we had a win by 2, I strongly believe that Navi would’ve beaten me. However, under tournament settings (2 of 3, 3 of 5, 4 of 7), I would’ve beated (beasted? lol) Navi - semi easily. It took a while for Navi to adapt to the right play style against my Guile, and I’m not sure how he will be in a setting where you can only lose twice. So as a suggestion to Navi, the flowchart to test a player is: zone > zoning/aggro split.

For the Barrie team, we need people who knows the matchups for the majority of the cast. And unless it’s a bad matchup (i.e. Guile vs. Akuma/Seth… ugh, I hate those matchups) you have a good chance of winning when the number of retries are limited.

While I’m not trying to troll, if we want to represent HW in Barrie, I honestly think we should do a round robin or something.

yeah, some round robin training sounds like a good idea! once hidey or everybody sorts out who is confirmed to go we should definitely get the “team” some epic training. HW’s doors will be open to get in whatever games ppl need!

btw…i love watching wun beast ppl with his guile! just not against me…haha…no really i wanna play guile too!

also guys thinking of putting some MVC3 Tourneys on the schedule…anybody down? Thinking the Saturdays, the 19th and the 26th!

20th is the PWN Classic and 26th is Waterloo tourney. I’d like to suggest that we schedule a tourney on a different date and have some of Team HW represent at either or both of these tourneys in addition to the Barrie one on Mar 5th.

I agree with this statement!

Hope to see some of you guys in Waterloo!

maybe you could hold the mvc3 tourny sometime in march.

Wun Yan I’m just too clutch against you bro, best of 3, 5, 7 ect I’ll grind it out somehow

Guile vs gat is too hard, I think my Ryu can beat your Guile easier imo.

Hey Navi, found something for you to spend your FT10 winnings on:

THAT’S SO RAVEN PSYCHIC ON SCENE NINTENDO DS LITE NEW: DS_Game_289 Omega Collectables

:stuck_out_tongue:

I like this idea!

I offically would like to challenge Wun Yan for a $20 MM! Guile Mirror! FT5 or FT10… doesnt matter. Sonic Boom!

Look what you’ve started, Navi…

Now everyone wants a piece of me…

You are the sexiest at HW

lol maybe next time, I want the Mushroom Slippers!

I like this idea!

P.S. Matt . FUCK YUN… ridiculously cheap character, hes fucking rufus WITH a command grab ANDDDD a meterless reversal . if anyone is cheap… it is yun.

You need to upload them…

I want to rewatch my mistakes.

Good to hear from you Nathan, you got a lot of nominations for the 5v5. Final tally will be out this week.

Still need to hear from some peeps so please make sure you nominate!

Mistake one, challenging me

He said the video is too large, might need to be uploaded on Youtube.

Hey Matt, can you ask your friend if he’d help me improve my Sagat? I’ll add him on Live if he’s down.

It’s not surprising when he recorded the entire set in ONE video.
