Eh I always thought it was more about putting more shit on the screen than your opponent
I actually think they’d both sort of work. s:s: is the most universally unsafe move in the game and it’s usually the slowest. Both s:S: and pressing fwd makes it so that you risk not blocking just to parry. The only difference is throwing out a random attack when someone jumps fwd and then dbl jumps back making you look like a damn fool.
So after reading that front page article, I guess there really is no offline multiplayer. Seriously, how many times do they have to shoot themselves in the foot with this game? /tradein
See, that’s what I don’t understand. If it’s possible to play someone else in training mode, then why the fuck didn’t they just give that option in the first place? Like, I would just love to know what is going in these devs mind, because there has been so much shit in this game that is just completely, mindbogglingly stupid. No one at the office thought it would be fun to implement an offline multiplayer mode? Because online is just that awesome, am I right? /WTF
My guess is that they’re trying to push the [S]gems[/S] online component so that people actually participate in the faction aspect - IE, they’re trying to get significant numbers for each side. I think alot of people wouldn’t go online if they had the Local VS option with the cards…
I dunno. I don’t see why they couldn’t just implement both, an offline to play with your friends, then online to do the factions thing. Both are appealing. Oh well.
When is Capcom going to start talking about the actual card abilities (besides what was in the trailer)? Are we just supposed to discover them on Monday?
