prob wont play nice for it to be included though
I don’t like it but I love the fact that it is a separate mode. Fuck Gems
gotta actually give props to capcom for doing this for free…
I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to sell new abilities for a few bucks as DLC though
I was about to get something to drink, then Seth said “X-Factor Burst” … Yeah he’s talking about different card effects right now.
I’m totally okay with this. One, because it’s free DLC (thank god) and two, it’ll be fun to experiment with game mechanics like this. It’d be like playing a whole new version of the game, adding something like Bursts into the mix.
Probably won’t get any tournament time, but that’s okay. It’ll be a fun online feature.
its always fun to think up absolutely retarded versions of characters
We’ll probably get it in mystery tournaments.
Thinking about it, if the card mode allows you to switch X-Factor for Megacrash and Baroque, I think we might have a better game actually (as long as this is the only card used) lol
Negate projectiles card says hello.
I love this. And SFxT’s Gem system. Fighting games needed things like this.
>>> Fun. Genre and community took itself too damn seriously.
Sounds like a gimmick for money. I suppose it’s a concept that will entertain bad players.
Or players that like to have fun.
after the nightmare of the Gem system announcement, this is a breathe of Fresh air if I understand how theyre implementing it correctly. Free DLC, and a totally separate part of the game? thats absolutely perfect, and puts the Gem system (as we currently know it) to SHAME
So basically you can make a Teleporting Sentinel or Hulk with the Nightcrawler card… How is that Sensible for anything but goofing off. Wont lie sounds fun though… Wesker “Do I Scar…” HULK TELEPORT… Gamma Crush…
Or Phoenix with regenerating health and regenerating meter ><
I think it’s ridiculous but I am content with it being a seperate mode
Maybe with this and the Galactus mode, the likes of Angry Joe will finally shut up.
… Oh, who am I kidding?
Hell, talk of Mega Crash and such has brought up a practical use for this. If it goes as far as we hope it does, this could amount to giving us System Direction/similar mechanics. We could seriously try things we’ve talked about. Does removing X-Factor make the game better, for example? Does replacing it with some other mechanic help?
I would actually be willing to give that sort of thing a try so long as it’s aimed at setting up standardized rules that we feel improve the game.
Edit: Insert Name Here, I imagine you’re right. He’s just going to continue to say really stupid things like “Rebalance!? I’M NOT PAYING FOR THAT!” when it’s obvious he has no idea just how hard tweaking any single fighting game character is. I’d like to take that custom ‘arcade stick table’ his friends made for him and whack him upside the face with it; can’t imagine it’d make him any more stupid than he already is, so it’s worth a try. Also, you made a significant typo in your post… “angry joe” does not deserve to be capitalized.
100 cards is a ton tho’, as far as serious play goes.
Still I’d be lyin’ if I wasn’t looking the hell forward to messing with this
Wait theres a megacrush card? WTF…!! so we could basically change the game mechanics. Hmmm interesting.
It’s time for Arthur to be top tier.
