Do we already know whether his Red Hot Kick is still safe on block?

Well, thing is he doesn’t have SUCH crazy mix ups so it’s safe to assume a lot of his moves will be safe.

in TvC he had invisible mixups due to the jab-like speed of his 6B over head. Does he still have that attack?

6B…oh shit I forgot Exchange cancels any normal, like Ryu overhead. Jabbing, faking an overhead, his mixups would be great…if AG didn’t push him so far. @_@

His overhead has shit range though. Imagine trying to apply it the way Advance Guard works in MvC3.

Also if you are going to reference moves please use VJ terminology because otherwise I won’t know what you are talking about.

Joe has every single one of his moves from TvC and then some so he’s not missing anything, only thing I haven’t seen is his Overhead.

Man, I hope his Red Hot Kick is still safe on block. I heard someone say that it isn’t safe on block anymore, and if that was true, I would be forced to develop a completely new playstyle for him. T_T

Red Hot Kick safe on block = the new Ken lp dp in SF4

Ha ha. Well, the Red Hot Kick was actually 100% safe on block in Tatsunoko vs Capcom, but even then it wasn’t nearly as mean as you may think, dude.

Red Hot Kick isn’t as fast and doesn’t go as far as TvC’s version did, but it’s much more versatile now. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s no longer safe, but we do know he can attack immediately afterwards.

Man, not being safe on block would make the Red Hot Kick automatically useless. :frowning:

Well, time will tell… If it’s not safe anymore, will have to learn to rely on Voomerangs. T_T

It now OTGing is a damn good buff. He should’ve had that in TvC. :frowning:

Ahhhh I never played TvC. Sold my Wii a few weeks before it came out.

His new DP does not look very safe…if left uncanceled. If you attack out (can he use specials from it!? DP > Vrang) maybe it is, depending on the window.

Six-Machine Hyper is real fast now. It combos after practically everything.
Also, Eventhubs has Joe’s command list wrong.

SRK+2A is Mach Speed
HCB+2A is Slooooow

Has anyone actually used Mach Speed?

I used it quite alot, great for DHCs and long combos.

Fast startup you mean? Because the actual projectile isnt that fast.

I can see myself giving Joe a chance well after the games release. Just no wowwed by him at this point.

Yeah, I meant startup, sorry. It can’t punish supers full-screen or anything, but it can combo off basically anything now.
