Holy crap, when it rains it pours. You’re absolutely right, the 6 pin part is the wrong one; its a bussed network, not an array. Replacements are ordered and will go out with the chips.
If you’re only going to use the 6 or 8 play buttons, dont worry about it. You’d need to swap out that 6 pin array only if you plan to use the three extra buttons or joystick modes.
;_; I have an LED balltop. So you will be mailing replacement chips and 6pin resistors to everyone? I hope too many of these didn’t go out. Thanks for the confirmation. I was about to start banging my head on the table last night trying to figure this thing out.

For those that are curious, you can check the writing on the 6 pin to see if its the correct one. The incorrect one has the numbers ‘61151’ on it towards the end. If you need a replacement, please let me know, but if you’re not planning on using the three additional buttons or stick mode, you don’t need it.
Thought I’d post my results after I received the replacement you sent me. I put the new chip in the old makeshift setup that I had built to show you and it worked as intended. Just finished putting it together in my stick and it works great.
And on top of that, coincidentally (and awesomely so) the LED’s light up the lighting art on my stick like it was LED as well. Very happy with the end result, thank you for such prompt costumer service. 
Now just waiting on akihabara board to finish my stick.
Just wanted to let you know that I received the first three replacements today and they work flawlessly in the stick. We’re also going to use your LED controllers in our arcade machines at the store to show them off to people. i have seem to run into trouble with what might be my FGwidget board for the LEDS in my arcadestick. It is dualmodded, and it has worked wonderfully for about 2 months until today. All the sudden the LEDs flashed brightly and then stopped flashing. The stick still works, the dualmod works but the LEDS dont. So i opened up the stick and took the VCC wire from one of the lights on my button and put it to a signal button on the pad. The light shines very dim. When i touch it to the VCC on the FGwidget board, the LED shines very brightly. Anywhere else, it touch it, it shines dim again. Only on the VCC on the FGwidget board makes it shine brightly. Putting everything back together and tapping the buttons does nothing. Is it possible that the board is fryed or defective?
What you described all sounds good; there is power to the LED controller, and the LEDs are wired properly.
What are the odds you put it into tournament mode?

Hi Toodles i am having the exact led issues as the original poster had. I am using the Arceye3 leds with FGWidget led board and they all work correctly however when i power on the stick i get all 4 kick buttons to light up very dimly and stay lit indefinitely until I power the controller off.
I cannot get into Setup mode (only Tournament mode works somehow). the remaining Punch button leds have a strong light (the way i want them to be) however i cannot change the way they behave when they are pressed.
I used a multimeter to measure the traces and they are all good. Advices are welcome.
Don’t know when you ordered your FG Widget LED controller but there was a run a while ago with incorrectly programmed chips. I believe Toodles sent out replacements to all the people affected. It’s been too long since I had the same problem to remember what else could be wrong, are you absolutely certain there isn’t a grounding issue and the chip is inserted according to the picture on the PCB? I know these are basic questions but we have to start somewhere.

Don’t know how but one of the Ground wires was messed up when i did another double check on the wires. Replaced it and now it’s fully functional. Guess there was not enough power due to the broken wire.

No problem, I know it can be a bit of a hassle having to solder all of those leads and ensuring each circuit is proper. Usually it does come back to something seemingly small like a ground but that also tends to completely break functionality.
I just realized that you still haven’t replaced the arrays at all in the new orders still 
I was perplexed in the middle of a tournament why up and down wasn’t working properly at the last night of the tournament. I thought it was just me but now that I see this in another project I realized that the arrays were not fixed as of yet. I have an 8 button + joystick setup and realized that its not the right 6 pin array. What serial number is the resistor array so I can just go down to my local store and pick a new one up? I would also like to fix the other one but its in the hands of Lapchi in Calgary
