That’s just it: it’s not about who I want to see, it’s about who I don’t want to see. If you’ve ever played CvS2 competitively, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about.

If this guy comes to EVO then Deshigitsune will own everyone for free; even scrubby Blankas, etc.
EDIT: here’s a so called top tier team getting owned by a ratio 1 C-Groove Vice

Chang cheapness

^deshi is really good but dari is not bad either, i think rai still has the better k groove in that region
he can most likely beat majority of the evo players there but i don’t think he can make it to top 8, he’s still not as experienced as otk in the game. reason i know that is because i watch all of otk’s vids and his
Rai does have the experience imo and I know this cause I played agaisnt Rai alot in the past, also I wouldnt compare Rai to Otaku they are both good.
Rai’s Sagat is hella scary also watching him play versus playing him is very different.
Gotta love it.
Old school characters with new system going at it.
Low jump Gief Headbutt,
Chang corner traps galore.

does OTK even play anymore? i thought i read several times that he quit…if thats the case can you even really bring him into the argument. since this is the last year for cvs2 at evo i’ll definitely go
just watched that chang match…and i refuse to believe that was a real match the guy didn’t even block. choi wasn’t even being sent in hi low mix ups he just sent choi then small jumped him…i may be wrong but don’t you block both of those standing? either way it was very amusing to watch
they’re comparing deshikitsune to otk which is a pretty valid argument

The mixup is either low jump rh (choi hits), combo of your choice, or low forward (choi hits), combo of your choice. He was also close enough to get a command grab off there also, so that’s another mixup element.
As someone who plays Chang every now and then I can tell you that people block low or wake up RC/wakeup uppercut about 75% of the time. It’s not outlandish that he would guess low and then mess up something in a row like that.

3 options that are done 75% of the time…2 of them that should be blocked??? so what do you do???
in the corner chang is scary, i look for 2 things, one is a jump, the other is the early throw out choi to bait a block so you can command throw…you can react to both from crouching (which eliminates the high low game and now becomes the high, command throw game)…with the choi bait into command throw being the easiest to react to…
