Hello guys, i just have the following problem:

Some few days ago my younger brother screwed up a Paewang PCB by cutting up the usb -while it was connected to a xbox 360 console!!! (yah, dats more than stpd)- attempting to replace it by a break-away xbox 360 usb cable from a madcatz fightpad.

So… PCB wasnt 100% dead after this because it was still working on pc (only pc, no console) so a resistor replacement was needed. I was about to do it by myself but my brother de-soldered all the 6 usb cable resistors from Paewang, replaced them with “kinda look” resistors, and then throw away the originals. PCB doesnt work at all.

So the question is: Does anybody know what kind of resistor do i gotta get to replace all the resistors marked with a number in this googled pic??? thank you in advance and i hope you can help me with this.

PS: I cant get another from my country (and theres no more units at store right now).

OW. That’s… OW.

If no one knows off hand I can look at my paewang in an hour or so and get the top three, but I think the bottom three are capacitors. I can’t read or measure the values, but .1uF might work.

that would be helpful bro, i hope you can get those values… i will appreciate also if u specify the number on the pic to make it kinda graphic. thanks for answer

^Bump^ - Help please :frowning:

Hey, just an update on my end, I tried to read mine but there’s hot glue in the way and I don’t have any rubbing alcohol around to get it off. I should have you something over the weekend though.

Your pic is down.

looking at the board with the row of button signals on the bottom
The top 3 resisters above the usb are from left to right: 22ohm, 22ohm, 1.5kohm
The bottom 3 components bellow the usb is either an inductor or fuse inbetween two capacitors. I don’t know the value of the caps, but would guess .1uF. The spot between should be fine with just bridging the gap.

Thank you bro i appreciate

Sorry about the pic i also lost it. Thx for the info… so for 4-6 (bottom row) i only have to solder 2x 1uF capacitors on side spots, leave the middle spot empty (no piece there) and just bridge it?? did i got it right??? thanks too, thats a lot helpful

EDIT: I forgot, do you have the numbers? cause i got 22ohm resistors marked with “302” and “470r” at home…

yup

I googled and got the picture back

https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRV7HemW2EaLuTaigJeLYw-1BryR-4AdJv0W990TvuMscpdp4pM

1=220 2=220 3=152

Bottom three are probably cap, inductor, cap like Gummo said. Those values match Gummo’s, btw, that’s just the markings.

Ok so i supose those are the numbers for 2x 22ohm and 1x 1.5kohm resistors.

Thanks a lot guys, if i have any further problem i count on you…

This post will be helpful for any person who gets the same problem of parts replacement

guys i’ve sent you some message to your inbox, please check… i put all pieces in the places you mentioned but PCB only works normally on PC, my xbox doesnt detect it :frowning:

One question… Is your brother still alive? Cuz mine would be dead!

Sorry for never responding to your message, I’ve had a rough week and kinda forgot about it.

Anyway, this sounds dumb, but make sure your turbo button is actually working, and not miswired or something. Also see if your computer recognizes it both as a ps3 controller and a 360 controller.

i havent wire the pcb yet, just soldered the res. and caps. and tested it on pc, everything works normally… but when i connect it to my xbox it doesnt work

PD: I did what you guys just mentioned above…

i think maybe there’s something missing… maybe i should put an inductor (but once again, i dropped the “useless” inductor just as my brother did >__< )

You do have the turbo button wired though, right? You have to hold it when plugging it in so it will change modes, there is no autodetect.

As i said… havent wired, i use a rubber button to hold turbo. Modes change normally on pc. Not detected by xbox…

I unplug it on “XBOX 360 CONTROLLER FOR WINDOWS” so its suposed to be detected when i plug it to my console but it doesnt at all… :frowning:
