I’ve been watching Masterchef and thank God every episode isn’t “to be continued.” At this rate we won’t find out the winner of HK season 10 until the premiere of season 11.

On Kitchen Nightmares US each Restaraunt gets $10,000 for renovation and on Hells Kitcen US he just yells at everyone acting like an asshole which is the complete opposite of how he is on his UK shows. The former is an image the latter is his real self.

Seriously I don’t get how anyone can watch his US shows like all other reality tv shows in the US there is not a single drop of auenticity, it’s just pandering to the lowest common denominator. What made his UK shows so good was that it was real no punches were held back to coddle viewers who want only happy endings or some feel good bullshit, if someone failed they failed game over.

word. his UK shows are excellent. “the f word” is one of my favorite shows. its actually watchable and entertaining. hes a pretty awesome host in several ways.

This weeks episode of Hell’s Kitchen was a step up from last week’s. I would rather Robyn stay and Tiffany go, she’s not just a bad chef she’s a horrible person. LOL at not being able to tell the difference between cod and seabass.

Speaking of creativity and strong food sensibility, everybody seems to think that Monti doesn’t quite have the chops – including Monti – and I predict this alone will be her downfall. She doesn’t just memorize recipes. She has proven herself capable, yet with each new challenge all we hear is self-doubt. Watching her work actually makes you begin to doubt her. Impressions are formed based on what you put out. Humility has value, but this level of insecurity is stifling her. Only when swung at does she swing back to produce her best work. But eventually fighting leads to burn out.

There is really no excuse for Tali at this point. The MasterChef kitchen (or any kitchen, for that matter) is no place for delusional thinking. This was the first time I watched the content of the confessionals. Gordon was interrupting your creative genius? Too bad he didn’t have nerve to voice this directly – it would have been priceless, let me assure you. Quite frankly I find that remark insulting to everyone who participated in this season. It was a slap in the face to all those who auditioned – those who gave it their all for the opportunity to be mentored and critiqued by someone like Gordon Ramsey. Throwing away the opportunity of a lifetime by an inability to take constructive criticism doesn’t seem too genius to me … Sayonara, friend.

tali needed to go a long time ago. i totally agree with joe. monti isnt as weak as the other contestants say. from the way she talks, you can tell shes got some good reasoning behind the things she cooks and how she cooks them. but because she gets all flustered by the crap she hears around her, she lets it get inside her head.

it was kind of sad to see christines dish crash but its interesting to see her get humbled like that.

Hrm…it’s a UK show, so I’ll check it out. The commercials for Hotel Hell show made me smh though. Seems like he’s out of his depth on that one. Oh well, got to get paid. edit: damn, it’s not on BBC America.

Tali was arrogant to the point that I questioned the “reality” of MC. Some of the shit he said made me think producers were feeding him lines. I know editors can screw with your words, but he was ridiculous.
