Just curious about when the next queue is going to be updated. Please update, Thanks.

Your wish is my command

Done!

w00t! So what is the current build pace?

Thanks for quick update! I am eagerly awaiting the next one. Mine is very close!

How about a new update?

Thanks again Ed!

lavinia that is probably the nicest aiab I’ve ever seen! Love the artwork and it works so well with the stick!

In some ways I actually prefer the buttons being colored so they don’t blend in with the base. Might do that myself now! Absolutely beautiful!

Disappointed Customer

I ordered my stick in the middle of April, paid in full and I still haven’t received it yet. Its ****** August already, I am very dissatisfied and that’s putting it lightly. The reason I ordered the stick was so I can have something to use when I went to EVO, so much for that. I will definitely not recommend your services to anyone that’s looking for a stick, I don’t care how good the quality is.

That’s pretty understandable, but you should have looked at the order queue before you ordered one of there joysticks. I ordered mine in May and I still haven’t received it yet.

I agree with Deadlywolf. Ed clearly states the normal wait time is 8-10 weeks and he has made no bones about the delays they’ve experienced due to higher than normal order volume. I don’t have mine yet (also ordered at the beginning of May), but from what I understand, the quality is very high and Ed is trying to keep their production at a level where he can be involved with every stick.

I am going to try and explain why stuff is taking so long, or did take so long and how we are just doing a good job of accurately guessing a time line.

I have tried to explain this on the website a while ago but I will try again. AiaB pretty much got caught smack in the middle of the SFIV hype. When people couldn’t get TE sticks they started coming to us in the masses. Now in hindsight I should have done what Lizard Lick did and just shut the site down to try and manage the order flow better, but it was my mistake to not do that.

We are not and will never be a mass producer of joysticks. We build custom sticks and 99 percent of the people on this site understand that. The problem is we started getting a bunch of orders from people that are new to stick and even fighting games. Hell, I have responded to at least 10 pissed off phone calls or emails from people stating the joystick wasn’t wired right because they didn’t know how to map buttons in the game.

We are getting through orders are fast as we can. We have had 2-3 crappy weeks do to people getting sick, the CNC Router broke last week (which I am stil waiting on a part that should be in soon to fix it) and I was sick and out of it for almost a week. I know this isn’t an excuse anyone wants to here, but with a small company like ours, sometimes shit just happens.

This is what is making all of this so hard for me. Last year things were awesome because I just enough orders I could handle and get people their orders in a timely manner. But SFIV changed that and I do apologize for letting it go on.

I hope when the queue is all said and done and I am caught I can breathe again and decide where AiaB will be at the beginning of the year. Because SFIV and mass chaos it caused has really burned me out on making sticks. It’s just been really tiring continueing to tell people their order is coming, we are working hard, etc.

We have never stopped responding to emails, answering the phone, or just vanished. We have always been here and we have always tried to shoot straight with our customers to let them know what is going on and hopefully when to expect their stick.

Again, I am sorry to those customers that are not happy with the wait time and those that felt the need to cancel because we are taking too long. I can completely understand, you don’t know me from Adam so why trust me. Especially with so many other “Stick Makers” out there that have taken advantage of people’s trust.

Ed

It isn’t your fault that people are stupid. I ordered my stick in April and you guys just shipped it out yesterday. Have I been dying for 3 months to get my stick? Yes, but I knew when I placed my order that it would take this long. So next Wednesday, my stick will be here and it will have been worth the wait. That moron that posted above me saying he wasn’t happy with the service has no one to blame but himself.

I appreciate the response, but I do also see his frustration. I don’t want this to turn into a war or words. He expressed what he wanted too and that’s perferctly fine. Maybe he already canceled as well, I don’t know.

Ed

I can see his frustration as well cause I ordered mine in April as well when the website said it would be a 6-8 week wait. I have been waiting for more than 12 weeks now for mine and it still has not been shipped. Over this time though I was aware of the queue and understand the problems and the situation AIAB is in. So I am not angry or anything because this stick is going to be worth it.

The only thing I wish is that they consistently updated the queue like they used to. Other than that I really don’t have any problems although I didn’t have plans for EVO or anything. I know it is probably really frustrating for Ed as well with a limited staff being hit so hard so I can sympathize with him. I know I will be satisfied with the stick once I get it.

Keep up the good work Ed!

Oh, and can you update the queue again…lol

Yes, now that that’s settled, let’s get a new queue, please.

What days do you ship? I ordered in May and am counting the days.

The early bird gets the worm. People should have ordered last year in preparation for games this year.

I ordered my stick around this time last year and it took about a month to get the stick. Still enjoying it to this day. I’m glad Ed is getting all of this business and I hope you continue to make sticks for people. I hope for the best for AIAB.

Update the order queue plz

Cheap. Quality. Fast. Pick one. If you are lucky, you may get two. Never rely on all three.

New queue is up.

I’m looking to get a 360/PS3 slim arcade custom and I’m wondering about the button layout.

I have a 360 slim arcade where the button layout is:

A B RB
X Y LB

I’ve seen a true arcade where the A and B are on the bottom row.

Can someone clarify exactly how the layout would be for a dual mod slim arcade so I know what to put on my custom artwork?

Thanks.

First rule of “ordering custom made quality stuff club”. Never talk about “ordering custom made quality stuff club”. Second rule. Be patient.

We used to wire sticks like yours, which means you have had your stick for a while, correct?

Once HDR hit, we started wiring to that default. Every stick we have built since around HDR uses X Y LB on top.

Hope that clears it up.

Ed
