Oh apparently its caught on footage too, someone on his friends list messaged him ingame. Though the only thing I can confirm is this image, his opponent drew leeroy around this time so I dunno. Camera switches back and forth between the perspective of the two so probably cant see all the messages.
The accusations assume that someone was sending coded messages. ApparentlyI haven’t confirmed this he was getting messages every match he was in.
Probably whatever and let the admins of the event see if there was any cheating, definitely should at least not allow any messages being sent during events. The possibility of cheating is there I guess and of course a shit load of people out there are blowing this up.
Will be uploaded @ http://www.viagame.com/ soonish, so far only the first semi finals, semi2+gf missing
Bloodmage, Alexstrasza, 2x Doomsayer, Pyroblast, 2x Ice block - the rest is pretty common
Freeze Mage has really good winning chances against the popular Handlock/Miracle Rogue decks
It’s a fun deck but pretty difficult to play.
You could/should only build decks around specific cards if it’s a legendary one with a major role,
an example would be Malygos for Spellsword Rogue.
If you never played constructed in a somewhat serious manner, first thing you should do:
Decide on a deck you can afford.
It’s okay to like control decks and the Warrior, but without all the important(!) epics/legendaries he just can’t compete.
Brawl, 2x Shield Slam, Grommash etc. are just pretty mandatory for a control Warrior.
Ramp/Control Druids w/o the Ancients, Force of Nature? Ugh, nope.
That’s pretty much the reason many new players start with cheaper aggro decks like Hunter & Zoolock,
or at least some (cheaper) mid range decks like Shaman.
Decide for a class, go for tempo/aggro/mid range, build the core (the major common cards), improve the deck with rares.
Unless you have a lot dust and lots of cards. Go ham and play whatever you want. D:
Ugh. I hate not keeping up with this thread. It kills me. I have to do so much back tracking.
I think that messaging should be turned off during competitive play. There should be a setting. If the setting isn’t appropriately set prior the match and the player receives a message, he will forfeit the match.
EDIT: can we have a tournament again ASAP!!! So much fun
blocks/barriers/vaporizes is matter of preference.
Maybe replacing Cone of Cold with more card draw like Coldlight Oracle/Acolyte of Pain.
[e] Or go a completely different route, frozen giants, oldschool deck.
Pretty similar to the Handlock, either Mountain Giant with the big card draw or Molten Giants once you’re low.
Even though that deck is actually a bit too slow nowadays.
Well I only have about 500 dust. Is there any tool I can use to track what cards I have? I’m not sure how the cards I have translate to many decks out there.
Also, is there any benefit to getting a higher rank in constructed? Otherwise I can settle for doing dailies/arena until I get a game changing card (or the dust to craft one).
I went bananas and got around 65 arena wins this weekend, and I’m not really sure what cards I ended up with.
There aren’t that many cards. The more you play, the more you’ll know what cards are out there. Then you just flip through your collection and you’ll know what you have and what you don’t. Plus it’s easy to see the epics/legendaries - just look for the purple/orange gems.
500 dust is at least a fine start to get the most important commons & rares you need for some decks.
You don’t gain anything from higher ranks but a ‘nice’ card back once you reach legendary.
@ http://www.hearthhead.com/ you could organize your card collection, if I’m not mistaken.
But you don’t really need all cards, as a lot just don’t provide a high value. Get the ones you really want and if you’re dead-set,
dust the ones you won’t play anyway in the beginning. I never wanted to play Paladin, so in the beginning I dusted every rare/epic.
Play Arena/do your dailies.
Arena is way more fun anyway. :3
3rd time now legendary in EU but compared to Arena it’s just… meh. I like the random surprises/decks in Arena way too much.
Even though my sodium level rises sometimes… stupid sexy gnome stealing stuff.
Thanks. I’m really interested in hand lock and miracle rogue, but I’m way too poor to go after them right now. RNGESUS wants me to play a priest, but I have little interest in the class. Unfortunately, my hoarder mentality keeps me from dusting all the priest rares I have.
I guess I could craft useful neutrals like azure drake/Argent commander to get started.
Thanks for the advice, I’m just going to continue dailies and arena until I get something nice. Arena is my favorite thing about the game right now, I love trying to control the randomness.
