Ok, woo new Adventure!

Adventure announcement next thursday!

Yay, it’s the summon-a-1/1-murloc-at-the-end-of-your-turn Tavern Brawl.

Apparently they had enough of that brawl because now they are announcing the brawl is Idols of Azeroth, where your deck is just all Raven Idols…

There was a bug with the brawl, where 1 health minions that were buffed to 2 health (through the brawl buff), would be reset to 2 health whenever it went down to 1. So they had to give up on it.

between this and the new bugs introduced last week, not looking good for blizzard QA

Picked up some packs yesterday just because. Got 3 legendary cards in 15 packs. There are those legendary cards that just like to fuck with you. ā€œHey, this is a golden card, can’t wait to see what it is…fuck, Nozdormuā€¦ā€

Seatstory is currently going on twitch since yesterday. Lots of good players there

Looking forward to the new adventure.

Drunk Ostkaka in Seatstory lol.

What card could Blizz reveal that would immediately put a smile on your face? For me it would be:
(3)
Spells and abilities with random effects instead do nothing.
3/4

I would like some vanilla or just lower than vanilla statted minions with battle cry put x mana minion at the top of your deck. I think it would be interesting to force on curve cards into your hand.

For priest I want to see more graveyard interaction, like discover a minion that’s died this game (either player maybe?)

Discard mechanics would be fun

Just give me some land mana crystal destruction so I can lame it out for real.

I’m not even sure how you would implement that in this game.

(1)
Discover a card from your opponent’s hand. Your opponent discards that card.

(2)
At the start of each player’s turn, that player discards a random card from his hand.
3/2

In the game, VS System, all ā€œland destructionā€ effects were symmetrical. They were extremely powerful and used by aggressive decks to keep both players at low mana. Like, imagine a minion like this:

(2)
Both players lose one mana crystal.
2/2

So if your deck has 16 plays that cost 2 mana or less, and your opponent has like 6, you could drop this on turn 2 and force him to skip a turn. It’s also make for some very interesting mulligan decisions. Like, do you keep your second 2-drop in case they have this guy? It could also be used to delay 10-mana plays by a turn.

I am just now realizing that this would be an amazing combo with Doomguard.

so basically you want a better version of mana wraith

I get the feeling the only way blizzard would add that card is if it also had a huge drawback like deathrattle: your opponent gains a mana crystal or overload 2.

Considering that mana wraith is unplayable, I think that a better version would not be unreasonable. I think it would also be fine if the card was a reverse Darnassus Aspirant, killing a crystal on the opponent’s side only and bringing it back on death.

Mana wraith is not unplayable. It finds its way in the occasional budget zoo deck. It is, however, not an S or A tier card, so you’ll never see it in a competitive deck.

I wouldnt count on blizzard doing anything permanently disruptive/negative to an opponent during a game. Discarding cards means players dont get to run their cool combos. Destroying Mana Crystals, even if temporary, is also sort of an unfun thing. They actively want to promote a game where losing is still considered fun, and not one where you have no options and have to sit around each turn with no resources or anything to do.

Imagine a reverse darnassus with brann on board and a silence/morph/evolve/bounce the card back to your hand. Rogue, brann, reverse darnassus, shadowstep, reverse darnassus, shadowstep, reverse darnassus, enjoy being 6 mana crystals down!

Theres just too much potential for ending the game in a non fun way for blizzard to really consider it IMO

Blizzard has mentioned that they hate the idea of disrupting the opponents hand so I don’t think discard mechanics other than your own hand will see any light. Never know though. Same thing probably goes with mana destruction.
