I don’t bother with using Druid of the claw taunt when I play druid against them, I go straight for 4/4 charge and ideally a Argent Commander the following turn.
Coin -> faerie dragon/Innervate + yeti is great against them too. Harvest golems works great too since if they happen to run shadow word pain it kinda annoys them.
Man, trying to climb on NA again but there are only Handlocks and Hunters. People sure like to pretend that they make decisions when they play over here.
It sure feels good watching all these suicidal Rogue players busting out all these combos with Leeroy at the end only to have it thwarted by an Ice Block so I can destroy them next turn. Happened twice now
That’s what he does, he’s the finisher for control decks. Pretty much there to end games once you established board control or if the other units alive are worth clearing with his fireball.
If he doesn’t end games, he’s removal bait and acts as a strong 2 for 1 or often better provided if you have a bit of board control to help clear the weaker minions and that alone gives you enough advantage to make him worth playing.
Had a disappointing arena run this morning. Somehow I managed to draft two Tirion Fordrings. I had some crappy luck on that run, but some fun stuff happened, too. In one game, one got silenced, so I just played the other one on the next turn. Naturally, my only other taunt was a Sunwalker…
So I was just playing priest for the first time in about a week. I threw a deck together to try out some cards. It’s very inconsistent, and I end up a lot of times with a hand I can’t play because it’s all spells.
I was in that situation in this last game after my Paladin opponent wrecked my squad with an equality combo. With nothing on the board and nothing but spells in my hand on turn 7, I throw out thoughtsteal and get…a harvest golem and a faceless manipulator. Oh shit. I threw out the golem to finish that turn. I’ve already got two mind controls in my hand. I’m just trying to make it to turn 10 without getting too beat up.
Turn 9, this dude plays Malygos.
Mind control the Malygos. He makes his play, attacking with four minions to the dome and taking Malygos down to 8 health. I faceless the malygos and spell a couple of minions to death. He kills the original Malygos, leaving my lone 4/8 Malygos out there. Aaaand here’s how it ended.
A Paladin playing Malygos? Man, it sure would be sweet to live the “hitting the opponent’s board with Consecration for 7 damage” dream, but that’s just too optimistic.
Welp just got Illidan in a pack. Going straight into the miracle druid deck. Will do until I get ysera/cenarius, probably one of the few decks that illidan can somewhat shine.
So this is the deck I’ve been having fun using right now. Coin to Kirin Tor Mage to Counterpell combo on turn 2 is deadly if they don’t have a creature on the board.
Here’s a deck that I’ve been messing around with. It’s based on the zoo deck that’s been terrorizing the ladder. Thing is, I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort, since the Warlock card draw ability is so OP. I think it would be better balanced if it cost 3 HP to draw a card or something.
Lorewalker cho has some hilarious potential. Especially as soon as more cards get added.
Also curious to see if Illidan summons another token if a harvest golem dies and summons damaged golem or worse yet summons another token if violet teacher summons a token doubt either of these
Speaking of Cho just found this vid.
1 Cho on each field + Nozdormu is marvel levels of broken.
