I don’t think it is any surprise that there are so many paladin little guy decks (as I like to call em), considering TGT. I mean between Murlock Knight, Warhorse Trainer, and Silver Regent on top of already having muster of battle and Quartermaster it seems like a great direction to go. Also u get this unique feeling of minions growing stronger and stronger through the recruits and all the buffs it can receive. I don’t think anyone is laughing at Silverhand recruits anymore.
I’ve been using a Token Pally. It’s fun and just different compared to what I normally use.
Secrets paladin on the other hand. Holy shit

Have fun getting past this force field, hunter.
Oh my god midrange druid feels so good now. Darnassus Aspirant was exactly what the class needed.
Only actual concern is that one of the classes druid was traditionally slightly unfavored against (shaman) got miles better, so that could be a problem. Then again, the metagame overall seems slower than before, and Mirror Entity is nowhere to be seen yet, so overall things seem a lot better.
edit: yo Blindknagg, are you playing on EU? I think I faced someone with that handle yesterday.
I’m curious, is there a decent balance for the hero/card selection in The Arena mode? Or is it so random that picking a particular hero could tip the scale of winning/not winning for the most part?
Yeah I’m EU.
<_<
…
>_>
Unless I he bm’d you then it was probably another guy.
I only played like 7 games yesterday and didn’t lose any, so if there was any BM, I didn’t notice it because I was too busy winning. =>

How do you guys feel about beast druid? Even with all the beasts released (the inspire one is particularly good) and some nice synergy cards (wildwalker and that one that has reduced cost everytime you play a beast) it seems like the beast druid is still going to be on the weak side.
Token…yeah living roots rocks.
Opened 170 packs today lol
Having fun with my token pally deck, most people play with like 1-2 board clears, but then… my shit just keeps coming.
I might drop fencing coach, but fencing coach turn 3 into murloc knight turn 4 is so smexy.
Muklas Champion is the real boss though, holy shit.
Mage is best by a country mile. It just has the highest concentration of cards that are “just good” as opposed to “situationally good”, and the hero power is almost never dead.
EDIT:
Also I am still doing pretty well with my cancerous F2P decks. Beat several more dragon priests with Aggro Pally and Face Hunter. I imagined myself as a modern day Robin Hood, stealing wins from the rich to give to the poor.
I’d also recommend Paladin and Rogue, great alternatives when Mage isn’t available.
beast druid seems just okay. i like how they have a terrakion out of it tho.
anyone play against an absurd amount of totem shamans lately? he seems decent ish now.
arena is incredibly imbalanced because of not only class cards being strong at common or rare, but also because of hero powers.
Warrior hero power does nothing in arena because it isn’t guaranteed to have synergy with shield slam, or with having the specific goal of having a huge wall. Basically other hero powers are “live” the first 8 turns of the game and warrior’s is dead, this is on top of the other classes having much better commons on average.
Mage >>> paladin > rogue(hard to play)/warlock/shaman(IT’S BACK BABY)/priest > hunter >>> warrior
The big middle tier can move up to paladin depending on your playstyle and I feel that they can be less dependent on specific cards compared to paladin.
did a shaman run earlier got 12 wins, last cards are fire elementalx2, and volcanic drake. Elemental destruction is crazy good. being able to play it then a followup threat was extremely good. and late game the overload cost is somewhat mitigated with how cheap shaman’s removal is
^ Druid also is pretty boss too now.
You guys doing arena, it really is random pack rewards right? So much more boring to just buy packs than play arena, but seeing as I need TGT packs a million times more than classic or GVG, I really don’t have a choice.
Totem Shaman can go suck a dick.
No idea why, but I hate that deck.
Yup! I’ve gotten 3 TGT and 1 GvG from Arena.
I just finished a 4 win run. First 4 were easy, then I fought 3 guys who had lots of removal. I’m talking 4 Hexes lots. Or 3 Eviscerates, 2 Saps, 1 Nefarian (another Assassinate) a lot. And my deck didn’t have any. Curse you unlucky draft!
Yeah, with pack rewards being random now, if you want packs Arena is now the worst place to be. You only really do it if you’re confident that you can do well enough to get a surplus of gold but that’s it.
For those unaware, 3 wins and you’re basically refunded, 4 and more you’re guaranteed at least a small gold profit. 7 and above and you get enough gold for a free Arena run every time.
When I say refunded, I mean you will get at least 1 pack and 50 gold. Thanks for the reminder.
You should note that you’re only refunded in the sense of its relation to just buying packs.
