As someone who played WoW a lot back in the day, Dragon Paladins make me upset. PALADINS DONāT FUCKS WITH DARGONS. Muh immersion.
Just started playing again after a few months of not playing. The tavern brawl is cool, but is seems like whomever gets to go first basically has the advantage. But it is a good way to get your daily quests done quickly.
My last 5 arenas have all been sub 275 gold for 12 wins and 11 wins. Got some nice golden cards thoughā¦ Eaglehorn Bow, Deadly Shot and Unleash the Hounds among them.
Will you still be doing arena when it becomes random packs? I think Iām stopping and just saving gold for new expansion packs. Arena runs are so time consuming, and with random pack rewards it is likely Iām just going to get some gold, a golden common, and 40 dust.
Tbh I stopped with arena already, itās a nice idea and I know that it can be better value than spending gold on packs but those times when 3 characters you hate in draft come up and youāre like āso which one do I suck the least with?ā just arenāt worth it.
Ok, i clearly need help with building arena decks because i SUCK at the mode soooo hard.
Been playing every time my gold goes above 1150 to get better, but only a few times have i even gotten 50 gold along with my pack, sucks so bad lol
Then you need to get better.
Iāll be honest, if you donāt get good at Arena then youāre going to force yourself to actually pay for stuff. Dailies alone arenāt enough to sustain yourself unless you donāt mind waiting multiple days to get decent rewards, which also makes the whole āArena is a huge timesinkā moot.
Meh, a pack or 2 a week from dailys and tavern is enough for me, got a couple of decks Iām happy with and Iām quite content to just raid my card collection now and then to see what I can make rather than building towards something.
That and arena is fucking boring if you donāt get a character you like, I like MTG drafts but the character specific card pools combined with not being able to pick your character really kill arena for me.
Unless youāre averaging more than 4 wins, itās literally break even whether you arena or not. I prefer to arena because I enjoy it, and itās more cost effective since my average is high enough. There is no wrong way to get packsā¦
ā¦yet. When the expansion hits, Iāll basically stop doing arena at all until I have a good expansion collection. There are only a select few cards I need from vanilla and gvg, and it wonāt be worth my time to arena to get copies while there is a specific set I need.
Once I get a good collection, Iāll go back to arena.
Arena sucks but is a necessary evil to gain precious dust and cards, although you should definitely skip it when the new expansion comes out until you have most of the new set.
You can pre-order 50 packs for a 50 bucks, right nowā¦canāt open them until release date, though.
meh. If it doesnāt take the money out ujntil then Iāll do it.
The money is given right away, the packs just arenāt given to you until launch

Arena mode can suck my asshole after rough night at Chipotle. Waste of 150 gold only to make a completely ass deck and then get reamed 1-3 in Arena because everyone elseās deck is way better and drew way better cards. Waste of my gold and time. Wonāt be spending any more gold in that garbage ass mode until I get a large surplus of gold and donāt need booster packs anymore. Yes Iām salty.
So I came across an annoying bug. I updated my android app/pc, so my account is footage for the newest patch, but itās not available yet on ipad. So on the iPad it says tap to update, takes me to the app store where there is no update available.
I play mostly on the iPad, so itās pretty frustrating.
On a positive note, got total domination today, which will put me at about 7100g once Iām done, and Iām going to go for single digit ranks for the first time tonight.
The secret to Arena is to just try and guarantee that you have a good first 3 turns because thatās where most Arena games are won and lost, which is probably why the game mode is bad. Youāll almost always go positive just from drafting the most tempo deck you can muster unless your draft is particularly bad or your opponents have equally strong openers backed by AOE, it also makes for fast runs which is nice. The best classes for this in my opinion are Rogue and Pally.
