Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

Why Tosh?

He got good stats for a 6 drop and the spare part(s) gives me some extra utility. Turn 8 Malorne with cloakfield for example.

Summoning Portal + Mech Warper makes 3 mana and lower mechs cost 0, playing order does not change the interaction either. I’m not crazy saying that it’s a top tier card!

What do you guys think about Avenging Wrath and Captain Greenskin in Paladin?

Now with GvG I think that Avenging Wrath became stronger than it originally was during Vanilla and Naxx where it was too slow in a lot of cases. Paladins play a lot faster even as control and the 8 damage is very relevant when pushing for lethal against other control decks. There are also a lot of token/tribe/small creature decks being run and AW is very effective at clearing those out, the old downside isn’t as bad when you’ve cleared out one of their Mech Warper for instance.
Tilts the Handlock and Rogue match up heavily in your favor and makes the Priest match up somewhat manageable.

Greenskin is a lot stronger in GvG, Paladins have a few more targets for his effect through Muster for battle and Coghammer. 2x4 is good enough, it helps when clearing lower level threats but a lot of them sit at 3 toughness. The interaction with Coghammer is a lot stronger, a 3/3 weapon clears a lot of relevant creatures and it represents a lot of damage faster. If you play a Coghammer he’s definitely worth playing in my opinion, a toss up between Loatheb if not.

My current Paladin list for reference. Maybe you’d like to share your list as well @Korbidon ?

I use captain greenskin in my not so optimized mech rogue deck. He’s pretty nifty with all these weapon buffs.

edit made a mech mage deck. Kinda plays itself but holy shit EVERYONE plays loatheb on your upcoming turn 8. So many times I held spare parts for antonidas they played it right when i wanted to unleash the spare parts combo.

They’re all picking up on the matchup it seems.

Captain Greenskin is underrated. His ability is really good.

Harrison + Blingtron combo makes me hard.

Jeeves is my new favorite card in the forever. Classy motherfucker.

Mogor The Ogre is fantastic in arena.

I take it you were that Paladin who played Divine Favor and liked it.

I played Divine Favor Paladin and loved it. Naxx killed that deck though. I think GvG will make it viable again.

Disregard, I’m a moron.

I’ve opened about 15 packs so far. I am averaging 1 druid of the fang and 1 ogre warmaul per 3 packs.

This arena deck so far. You may notice a theme.

Final tally: 4 voidcallers, 4 dread infernals, 1 floating watcher, 1 flame imp, 1 blood imp. So much value.

Down side is no removal spells except 1 soulfire and 1 siphon soul. non-spell removal includes 1 stormpike commando, 1 argent commander, and of course 4 dread infernals. Also 1 power ovewhelming can be used that way.

Also, not a lot of card draw, but I’m warlock, so not a big deal.

I can see this deck going 12 wins or 2 wins, with my luck.

Faced a aggro mage + 2 Unstable portal. T6 Nozdormu whom I sapped and then this happened.

Mogor vs miracle.

I’ve opened idk 40 packs, I have 0 dark bombs. HOW

counted total gvg cards, 48 packs, i have 11 floating watchers though!, and 4-5 of multiple rares.

Update: deck went 1-3. I had to deal with the worst openings vs the best openings in 3 out of 4 games. First game was coin, zapomatic, turn 2 flametongue totem.

Arena a cold bitch lately.

that moment when you scratch your head, go back to the deck builder to double check if your Backstabs are in your deck and indeed there they are, both of them.

On the plus side, I have a gold Warlock now. Out of curiosity, I wanted to see how close I was to 500 wins with the other classes. The results were, uh, not good. 0 wins with Warrior, 5 with Paladin, 12 with Rogue, probably less than 10 with Hunter. At least I’m halfway there with Mage and 1/3 of the way with Priest.

I think I want to toy with changing fel reaver for echoes of medievh

I’ve faced that a few times and it seems to be strong enough, really scary with Mech Warper and Goblin Blastmage. They played it in conjunction with Sorcerers Apprentice, I can image it being really clunky otherwise.
