I dunno why I thought the 5 wisp card was pally, I think it was the art on it

First step: crush zoo.

Well with zoo having 1 mana soulfire it should be much easier to get board control earlier atleast.

the card art was a throwback to Archimonde getting Wisp rushed to death. IIRC from the druid campaign in WC3.

Just add a molten and you’ve got a roll your own Onyxia kit.

Other than Handlock and Control Warrior, what do you guys think were Priest’s bad matchups pre-GvG?

I’m at a loss how to shave all these cards down to 30 for a deck. So much variation…

As priest, I could struggle against classes like Zoo or face hunter until turn 4 for the soulpriest combo. Shaman used to give me a hard time too. Typically when I lost with priest, I never felt “I had no chance” but rather “Man I just didnt have the draws”

Yeah I think it’s only Handlock and some of the Rogue variations that are actually troublesome for the priest.

Yeah I forgot miracle rogue, but he seems likely dead going forward. I wonder if the new “miracle” rogue will be using spare parts to pump mechs with gadgetzan for a strong minion flood?

Handlock was annoying. Druid too, because theres so many big threads. If I had some of the more powerful cards, like Sylvanas and Black Knight, it would have helped more. But having 2 SW:D and 1 BGH means they can just out last you with big bodies and finish you with savage roar.

this arena was dumb. 12-2, no truesilver. First time getting 12 with pally without a critical mass of the class specific 4 drops.

I had a game where i played sunwalker, next turn swing it into something, reshield with protector, throw up redemption. Opponent 2for1s themselves+hero power to kill it and i have a 4/1 with divine shield still up. Overall was just able to outtempo with all the protectors and the overall card quality. Lost to a paladin with 3 truesilvers and a mage I think.

Made me realize how good the 2/2 divine shield guy is going to be in arena.

Well Handlock in theory should be a much easier matchup. Vol’jin, Lightbomb and Shrinkmaster/Cabal/Madness plays are definitely built to break down what Handlock brings out.

Of course, dealing with Malgannis is gonna be interesting… MIND CONTROL must be saved lol
