Hearthstone - That other, other, other Blizzard game

Will the ogres be able to target stealthed enemies?

That would be random, so most likely.

Remember when the buzzard and Leeroy nerf was announced, a lot were wondering about Auctioneer? I think these cards are a way to hit a stealthed auctioneer to prevent card draw abuse. In addition they can get around taunts, and even if u aren’t going for that specific thing…they are overstatted. Though in the case of dunemaul shaman even though it has windfury, u hit the wrong enemy u could very likely die before getting to attack again.

Yeah that card is insane, will most likely be included in the majority of Rogue decks if not all. The stealth is what tips it over the edge despite the negative effect.
I wish they would nerf auctioneer so they can fix the Rogue, can’t give them any card draw thanks to that bastard. I really don’t want this expansion to be miracle-core + the a few of the new creatures.

They gave us Deadly Shot, can’t go wrong with a Hunter card.
Now does it play nicely against Tirion? Does not work against Tirion BibleThump. Might be too expensive at 4 mana but we’ll see.

Holy shit! Destroy a deathwing and a gorehowl with sabotage!!! Anyways seems pretty awesome. Hunter’s deadly shot + Acidic swamp ooze effect in one card. Combos are rarely a problem for rogue. Seems fairly priced considering deadly shot is 3 mana, but this can destroy a weapon as well. Since rogue has plenty of removal options already I don’t know if this is a must include. However in tournaments I can see people using at least 1 against warriors or paladins (maybe even against fellow rogues)?

Is card draw really a problem? They got multiple options besides the auctioneer, though auctioneer is the greatest one. There is also shadowstep which allows return of a card to play it again for reduced cost.

Eh…idk how great Sabotage is. In most scenarios it’s a 1 Mana Less Assassinate…but is random. Does 1 Mana Less make it worth the Random? It’s solid against Paladin though and hilarious against Warlock who just dropped Jaraxxus.

I really want the other classes to get weapons. Wands or something, or something to occupy the slot.

More Demon cards, cool.

Damn, that 3 drop. The paladin card is really underwhelming though.

Feign Death: Uh…that’s insane. Trigger Mad Scientist, Creeper, Webspinner without killing them? Sylvannah Highmane? The potential blowouts man.

Lil’ Exorcist: So the plan to battle Undertaker Deathrattle Decks is this. Doing that its’ meh but it’s solid. All you need is one enemy Deathrattle to be that great 3 Mana 3/4 and she has the potential to get bigger and she’s taunt. And pretty much every deck plays Deathrattle. Hunter of course has plenty. Zoo has a couple. Mage has Mad Scientist. Priest has Dark Cultist. A ton of decks have Sludge Belcher. At the same time though, that’s the post-Naxx meta. Who knows how hard those Deathrattles could be diluted when this set drops. It’s a wait and see card.

Scarlet Purifier: Subpar for being a Class Card. Also screws with any Deathrattles you might play yourself.

All those cards are cool. Feign Death is insane. Lil Exorcist is a good 3 taunt that will get value a lot of the time, unless stuff like zoo and facehunter falls out of style. With feign death I dont see that happening for hunter at least. Free 4/4 and keep your nerubian eggs?

Purifier is much the same. I like how it gives Pally incentive not to play deathrattles, considering thats kinda the antithesis of pallys. However it could also work as a way to pop your own eggs if you want to drop an egg turn 2 and a purifier turn 3; thats a 4/4 and a 4/3 on turn 3 PLUS you can shut down your opponents deathrattle rush.

Yeah but if the opponent has Egg then Purifier becomes really risky to drop.

I think Purifier is HUGELY dependent on what Rattles are being played in the meta. As of right now it probably wouldn’t be too bad, killing a few things against Hunter for free seems solid. But if the rattles change, or get played less, he loses a lot of value. Hell if Egg gets more popular he definitely loses value.

I’d rather pop his egg than let him feign death in it honestly

I’d also rather not give his 4/4 a free turn to move if I don’t have an immediate answer for it when I drop Purifier.

They should change Scientist so it’s similar to Voidcaller.
Not sure how hard Feign death will fuck us but if it does I hope it doesn’t take them 3 months to fix it.

Feign death is great with eggs, but I don’t know if u really want to trigger ur own death rattles in most cases. Much better to kill a minion while u do it, or let it absorb a removal or aoe and spawn. Obviously they are putting counter cards to deathrattle decks, which is good. This is how u balance, not nerfing/destroying cards/decks.

Felheart is very impressive. A better blessing of kings or 5 damage, that is great value. Demons are cool, hopefully this encourages more demon decks.

Edit: Anyways I should have looked this up before posting. It seems feign death triggers all friendly minion deathrattles without killing the minion. On top of that the minions still keep their deathrattles to be triggered again upon death. Wow…that actually is insane. I’m expecting there has to be more strong anti deathrattle stuff coming, otherwise I don’t understand.

You guys are illustrating a lack of familiarity with Paladin. Other than Sludge Beltcher, and Tirion, Control Paladin isn’t big on death rattle and this is a FANTASTIC for dealing with a bunch of those low value deathrattle creatures that a big in all those weenie decks. If Control Paladin can do nothing else but discourage the use of deathrattle cards, that makes it amazing for tournament play.

Watcher paladin maybe?

2 ancient watcher
2 nerubian egg
2 sunfury protector
2 coghammer
2 scarlet purifier

Like that combo of cards should be a pretty big FU to aggressive strats.

I’ll absolutely enjoy watching 2 leper gnomes and a mad scientist spontaneously combust by the power of the light on turn 3.

Its gonna happen and ill love the salt that’ll come.
