Had this amazing curve as priest earlier today. T1 Zombie Chow, T2 Ancient Watcher, T3 Death lord, T4 Wailing Soul. Needless to say I won that game.
Experimenting a bit with Wailing Soul, not sure which class could abuse it the best but it interacts kind of poorly with all the priest buff effects. Maybe Rogue could use it in conjunction with Ambusher or something similar. Druid has shapeshift or battlecries so their minions aren’t affected negatively but they don’t have any class minions that benefit from being silenced. Other than that it’s a very good card against negative effects like Freeze, Follow the rules and Hunter’s mark when they leave your creature to die to Explosive trap.
Do you guys have any thoughts or ideas about this card?
I might hold onto Krush and see what happens to him. I finally made Cenarius. He’s been alright. Haven’t been super impressed by him thus far. I probably could have made a better legendary…
I don’t consider him a just a win more card. He’s rather flexible at what you can use him for.
•He’s either there to help you seize board control/give you a turn to stall and at the same time put down a chunky 5/8 for you to trade with. Occasionally the taunts can be used to bait your opponent’s last AoE if you’re playing token druid when you have a potential Violet teacher combo in hand.
•Buffs up your weaker board to help trade better/buffs up your current board to put your opponent on clock and makes your board much more difficult to AoE down/turns your tokens into a deathball.
Only time when i feel that he’s useless is when i haven’t reached turn 9, my opponent’s board is filled with massive minions and i’m on clock. Though in that case the only real card that might save you immediately is either Deathwing or a poison seed combo. Ooooor my opponent is a mage and is looking to burn my face down/opponent put me within lethal range and can chuck spells.
He’s slow but flexible with a immediate impact, but that can change with innervates and wild growths. Definitely one of Druid’s best legendaries, great for ramp or token.
I like Trump’s description of him from his arena tier list.
I emphasized going bigger in this draft. Currently 3-0, but fighting a rogue that seems to have a pretty nice deck. Missing in the picture is:
zombie chow
arcane missiles
worgen infiltrator
secretkeeper
mana wyrm
Edit: 4-0 after I top decked a flamestrike while his hand was empty. Feel a bit bad for him/her.
Edit 2: Got 8 wins. Lost to a priest that I couldn’t keep up with. Got my first shadowstep out of the pack at least.
Ramp druid isn’t quite ready. Not this season. I’ve been putting in some serious some serious hours with it this season and can’t see it getting over the proverbial hump.
Removal is too good right now. Hunters mark, equality, etc. I think token is the way to go. Its too hard to get the big beaters to stick around that long.
Im still torn on Zombie Chow , on one side the stats are insane , but I cant count how many times the opponent was at 5 and I regretted actually playing it.(as zoo)
So I pulled a Gold Black Knight? Is that card worth it? I’ve seen it in maybe…two builds, and not that fond of it. But if it is solid I’ll hold onto it.
Other option is to dust it and get a Legendary of my choice, probably Leeroy. That or 2x Molten/ 2x Mountain Giants for Handlock. But I think Handlock fell off quickly.
Zombie Chow has great value if played early. Later on it may backfire, unless you have some funky Priest stuff.
But all in all, it’s a great card for control decks.
If you don’t have a TBK, keep it. It’s still one of the top5 (or top3) legendaries at the moment. (my personal top3 is Leeroy > Ragnaros > TBK)
The momentum swings (can be huge) and there are so many taunt-targets around, with the Deathlord/Sludge even more post Naxx.
It’s a great card to have and fits quite a lot decks, even w/o a target decent stats.
I’m surprised that there are still so many midrange hunters around with Naxx.
Played the ‘Miracle’ one for ~50 games, too, but not too happy with it at the moment, way more fun in Naxx week1.
Heal-Pala, Priest, Control Warrior - no fun.
50/50 against Zoo, good against Hand-/Zoolock and Shaman.
The amount of Priests is too damn high. Stupid sexy Priests and the >10min games.
